GCATS is looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor aka Electrical Foreman to work on commercial locations for our clients. You will work under the direction of a Master Electrician. The most successful candidates will possess strong leadership, safety and troubleshooting skills. GCATS offers competitive wages and benefit plans. This position is located in the DFW area and transportation will need to be provided by the candidate.

The primary job duties and responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to the following:
• Test electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, oscilloscopes and ohmmeters to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system and to ensure compatibility.
• Precisely document actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis and resolve issues.
• Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring or devices.
• Answer emergency calls quickly, assessing safety and provide direction quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely; report any issues to immediate supervisor.
• Complete company’s four-hour safety training prior to starting work
• Establish material and manpower look ahead reports.
• Manage job scope of work and follow project specific budgets.

Qualifications include:
• Possess a current (non-expired) state of Texas Journeyman’s License
• Able to perform work on energized circuits preferred while being in compliance with all OSHA, Industry and company standards
• Preferably have completed a four-year apprenticeship program or equivalent trade school
• Must be able to lay out work as directed and direct three to four Journeymen to perform the job at hand safely, correctly and timely
• Proficient in use of code book, able to read blueprints and equipment schedules
• Good communication skills and be able to interact with customers, inspectors, vendors and other craftsmen in and efficient, professional, safe and positive manner
• Comply with safety requirements, company safety program and ensure those working with and around are complying with all safety requirements, programs and procedures
• Comply with company’s quality assurance program and perform all work within compliance
• Good Mechanical Aptitude
• Bilingual a plus (not required)
• Self-starter, must be able to complete day to day tasks and work without direct supervision
• Must pass criminal background check and drug test
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Provide trade references

Physical requirements include
This position will require significant physical activity throughout all or most of the workday each day, often strenuous types of activities. This includes, but is not limited to heavy lifting, (50 lbs or more), bending, stooping, standing, walking for long periods of time, repeatedly climbing ladders, scaffolding, steps, stairs, working in small/tight spaces as well as areas that may be high off the ground or underground. Performing these physical activities is essential to the job function.

GCATS is currently hiring for Entry Level Apprentice Electricians for ongoing Commercial projects across the Dallas Fort Worth area. No electrical experience required.

An Apprentice Electrician will work on commercial locations for our clients. You will work under the direction of a Master Electrician. GCATS offers competitive wages and benefit plans. This position is located in the DFW area, may require travel outside of Texas, and transportation will need to be provided by the candidate.

Duties and responsibilities:

The primary job duties and responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to the following:

Applicant must have or acquire a State of Texas Apprentice License prior to employment
Must have reliable transportation
Candidate must have a willingness to learn and a good attitude and mechanical aptitude
Must have basic hand tools in good condition (list provided upon employment)
High school transcript with diploma and/or GED scores
Evidence of previous electrical experience (if any)
Be in good physical condition and able to lift 50lbs or more, stoop and bend over repeatedly, and climb ladders, scaffolds etc.
Required to pass a background check, drug test and possess a clean driving record
Preferable candidates will enroll in the IEC Apprenticeship Program
Candidates whom are bilingual are a plus, but not required
Required to complete GCATS Four Hour Safety Training Program prior to employment
Qualifications

Qualifications include:
