The United States Navy was officially authorized by the Continental Congress on October 13, 1775 in the midst of the American Revolution. Despite having just a small fleet of 27 ships and enduring overwhelming odds, the Navy had success in defending our shores for freedom. Two hundred and fifty years later, they have developed into the world’s largest and most powerful naval force. The modern Navy of today is made up of hundreds of ships, including aircraft carriers, submarines, and a variety of surface ships and thousands of aircraft.

DCA is thankful for our many veterans, many of whom are DCA members. We thank them for their service!

DCA participated in AGA Workshop Day 2 on Tuesday, October 6, where we conducted the PSMS Workshop & Executive Safety Summit.

The panel provided a follow-up discussion to a session held in 2022, focusing on how programs have evolved and matured through the use of surveys, quality management concepts, additional staffing, data analytics, and increased communication. Industry leaders returned to discuss where those efforts have led over the past several years.

The sessions included live audience participation, leaving attendees with a better understanding of how contractors are continuing to strengthen collaboration, accountability, and trust to build a more unified and sustainable safety culture across the natural gas industry.

DCA helped Kick Off Day 1 at the AGA Construction Operations Committee Meeting, Monday October 5th.

We participated in a panel titled “Partnering for the Greater Good: AGA and DCA Working Together for the Future.” They explored the critical partnership between AGA and DCA and how continued collaboration can strengthen safety, construction excellence, workforce development, and industry alignment.

Executive Vice President Kevin Parker touched on topics such as operator qualification (OQ), pipeline safety management systems (PSMS), and the need to reengage the DCA/AGA Utility Workshop.
