Each year, the Distribution Contractors Association recognizes safety professionals whose leadership not only strengthens their organization but also elevates standards across the industry. At the 2026 Safety Congress held earlier this month in Savannah, DCA named Quentin Johnson, MP Technologies, Safety Director of the Year for 2025 and honored Cleo Deshazer, Precision Pipeline, LLC, as Safety Person of the Year. Congratulations to both winners!

DCA appreciates the statement put out by the National Utility Locating Contractors Association (NULCA) regarding the need to improve the process of preventing damages to underground facilities prior to excavation activity.

Damage prevention requires all stakeholders to meet their responsibilities in the process, and we appreciate NULCA’s commitment to ensuring accurate marking and locating of underground infrastructure prior to excavation activity, which is fundamental to the process.
