Hey everyone — I figured it was time to properly introduce myself.

My name’s Taylor, and my family and I recently made the move to Cyclone, PA.

I grew up in Berks County and later lived in Lebanon, but a big part of my life has always been tied to being outdoors. We had a camp in Gaines with a permanent site, and when I was younger I spent time in Potter County — especially around Galeton — with a friend’s family.

Somewhere along the way, this lifestyle just stuck with me.

When we unexpectedly lost our camp, it was tough — but it also pushed us to make a change. We decided to take that leap and make the PA Wilds our home, and we’ve honestly fallen in love with this area.

Now here we are — a family of 6 with 2 rescue dogs, chickens, ducks, a cat, and plans for pigs, goats, and probably more down the road. We’re working toward a big garden and a more self-sufficient, homestead-style life. It’s a little chaotic at times, but it’s exactly what we wanted.

As for me, I’ve spent close to 20 years working with my hands — maintenance, repairs, fixing things, building things, figuring things out. I’ve always been the kind of person that likes to stay busy and take on just about anything.

These days I’m putting that experience to work up here, helping take care of camps, properties, and whatever else needs done along the way.

More than anything though, we’re just excited to be here and be part of the community.
