🐾 Happy National Dog Month! 🐾

This month, we're working with local animal shelters to give a little extra love and attention to a few deserving pups who have been patiently waiting for their forever homes.

Meet this week's stars at Cleveland Animal Protective League:

Introducing Sega🥰(Gold):

Sega is a 4 year old pit bull mix. Sega has been with the Cleveland APL for over 650 days since September 2024.

Sega is the kind of dog who leans in for chin scratches and gently nudges you for more pets. He may come in with a burst of happy energy, but after a few minutes, you’ll see his soft, loving side that makes everyone melt. Sega is playful, loves tennis balls, and is full of personality. He loves a game of fetch and is a good boy on field trips. Sega is just a lovable goofball. He would do best as the only dog in the home at first. He previously spent time in a foster home and was a wonderful, well-mannered house guest. You can’t help but smile at Sega!

Say hi to Jullian💕(Brindle):

Jullian is a 3 years old, Pit Bull mix. Jullian has been with the Cleveland APL since February 2025.

Jullian is the definition of a good boy! On field trips he’s calm, loving, and happy just being part of the adventure. His favorite things are car rides, meeting new people and getting pets. He’s goofy, gentle, affectionate, and always ready to make you smile with his sweet personality! Jullian has even been described as a “perfect angel” by volunteers who take him on field trips. He may do well with kids, cats, and other dogs.

Meet this week's stars at Northeast Ohio SPCA No-Kill Pet Shelter: (Part 2)

Say hello to Rosemary | 2-Year-Old Lab Mix 💕

Her puppies have all gone home. Now it's Rosemary's turn.

Rosemary has officially become our longest resident after spending months waiting for a family of her own. The truth is, Rosemary isn't the right fit for every home, and that's okay.

She wants to be your one and only. Rosemary would thrive as the only pet in a home with older children, where she doesn't have to share your attention with other animals. She can be reactive around dogs and cats, so she's looking for a family who understands her needs and will love her for exactly who she is.

And who is she? A shelter favorite!

A beautiful, polite walking companion who eagerly looks forward to her weekly hikes with our volunteers. A goofy girl who loves treats, cuddles, and soaking up every bit of attention from her favorite people.

She's spent months watching other dogs leave while she patiently waits for someone who's looking for her. Rosemary doesn't need every family to choose her. She just needs the right one. ❤️

Introducing Eggbert | 10-11 Month Old Hound Mix 🥰

For most of his young life, Eggbert has only known shelter living. Before arriving here from the South, he spent much of his puppyhood in another shelter. Since March, he's been patiently waiting for a family, and even after being adopted, he was sadly returned when the match wasn't the right fit.

The heartbreaking part? We think Eggbert has started to believe the shelter is home.

But we know there's so much more waiting for him.

Once he trusts you, Eggbert is incredibly sweet, cuddly, goofy, and full of love. He just needs someone patient enough to help him through the scary "new" and show him that a forever home is better than anything he's ever known.
