Winter is comming! Remember your space heater safety:

*Never plug more than one into an outlet, or circuit.

*Never stack clothes or other combustible material in front or near one

*Be aware of overheating outlets or cords. Often times they will give off a smell of burning rubber or plastic. Sometimes you will hear crackling or an electrical buzzing sound. Immediately unplug and assess the plug!

*Never plug a space heater into an extension cord. Most extension cords are not designed to handle sustained high currents such as a space heater.

Ran into some previous work while on a rewire. Remember, any and all electrical connections must be made inside an approved junction box or termination box. Exposed conductors like this can present an arcing and fire hazard if the unprotected wiring is damaged.

We see this on tons of new mobile homes unfortunately.. Free aired conductors ran for AC disconnects, or even free aired feeder wiring. Even though it is under a trailer, it is still subject to critter damage, or arcing on metal objects. Take a look under your home! If you see wies dangling everywhere, it may be time to call an electrician.
