Planet Earth Designs We are a design/ build Landscape Architecture company specializing in creative, functional and beautiful design solutions for your residence or business.

Owning partners Ryan Harris and Ryan Fickel attended The University of Georgia where they obtained their Bachelors in Landscape Architecture. Ryan Harris is a registered Landscape Architect in the state of Georgia. We approach each new project with a thorough process of examining the existing site conditions, analyzing those observations, and creating attractive and functional solutions for the challenges at hand. We have a strong desire for excellence and client satisfaction. We have working experience in the fields of Residential Design/ Installation, Recreational Design/ Installation, and Commercial Design/ Installation. We appreciate a good challenge and enjoy creating functional, beautiful designs! We have had the opportunity to work on multiple recreational designs and installation related to the sport of Disc Golf. We designed and installed our first signature course at Little Mulberry Park in Dacula, GA which opened in 2014. The quality of our work at Little Mulberry has been hailed as "top-notch" and "one of the best courses in the state". We have also installed concrete disc golf tee pads at Suwanee Creek Park Disc Golf Course and have designed the Signage for Bowden Disc Golf Course in Macon, GA. Aside from Landscape Architecture, Planet Earth Designs partners with Interior Development Group in Chamblee, GA in designing custom Aircraft Interiors and producing engineering drawings for the custom cabinetry. We create 3-D models of interiors to establish the conceptual design, then produce AutoCAD construction drawings for fabrication and engineering analysis. PED is also capable of producing large format Color Renderings. Whether for a Marketing Board or to pitch an idea, we can work in AutoCAD and Photoshop to produce a final, printable sheet. We also dabble in Logo Design and creating new inventions. We believe in the power of collaborations and would love to talk to you about your project. Just send us a FB message or email us as [email protected]

Last week, PED celebrated 15 years in business. What started out of a Honda Element and Mazda 6 many years ago, has evolved and grown into a company specialized in design and installation for many different types of projects. We have had exceptional people work for us over the years, and for them we are grateful. We have also had countless amazing clients over the years, trusting us with their projects and property. Our business is mostly referral, repeat customers, or friends and family these days, which has been very rewarding. We appreciate all of the support over the past 15 years!

This project in metro Atlanta was expansive - a residential design / build project that spanned 10 months. 90 loads of fill dirt, 8 phases of planting design and installation, 22 pallets of Zeon Zoysia, a 1,600 s.f. putting green, multiple paver walkways, 8’ wide stone step treads, a 3,000 s.f. pervious sodded driveway, boulder walls, and slate pathways.

We master planned and implemented the site drainage improvements, managed the installation of a 22 zone irrigation system, and designed and installed an 18 transformer/ 250+ fixture landscape lighting installation, complete with all color changing fixtures.

It was quite a project that tested our previous 14 years of knowledge and expertise. The finished house, pool (by others) and landscaping is truly a masterpiece! Our crew delivered excellence on each phase of the project and we are excited to continue working with this customer on other properties moving forward.

A full landscape transformation from the ground up! This project was so good, they won yard of the month in their neighborhood!

By removing problematic sweetgum and Bradford pear trees, regrading the property, installing natural boulder walls, laying fresh sod, and introducing curated feature plantings, we were able to completely redefine this outdoor space.

Thoughtful landscape architecture can dramatically change how a property looks, functions, and feels.

2025 Project Re-cap pics coming a little late this year, but thanks for having a look. Our 14th year in business was another great year working with many repeat customers, new customers, and even a few old friends along the way. We installed a handful of really cool putting greens, had one monster residential project that we constructed for 10 months (pics still to come!), had a couple nice commercial projects, we worked at a local elementary school on a special memorial garden, made some enhancements at a local church, and we opened a brand new 18-hole disc golf course at Bud Kelley Park in McDonough, GA. What a year, and we're looking forward to another great one in 2026! Please send us a message if you want to get something in the works for a Spring installation or get planning for later in the year.

🎄✨ Give the gift of an outdoor glow-up this Christmas!

Our latest project transformed an unusable backyard into a golfer’s dream. Because our client loves the game, we designed a custom space with a new retaining wall, stairs, and a perfectly leveled area for a personal putting green. With phase 2 coming soon!

Let’s be honest… your loved ones don’t want another robe. They want an outdoor space they can *love*. 🌿⛳

This holiday season, treat them to a yard makeover that checks every box on the Christmas list.
