The best measure of our work is what our clients have to say.

“This was a difficult process and the whole Lanier Home Restoration team made it manageable. Especially Justin! He anticipated my family’s questions and answered them. He kept us well informed of timeline, expectations and progress. We did not have to call to get updates; he provided them without asking. When hiccups in the project occurred, he called us with options, not problems. Would recommend 1000 times. I hope I never have to call them again, but if I do, I am confident I can rely on them.”

Home restoration can be extremely stressful, especially when you're navigating the unexpected. Our goal is to make the process as manageable as possible through clear communication, dependable service, and a team you can trust.

• Check outlets and cords for damage or signs of overheating.
• Make sure candles are away from anything that can burn.
• Clear lint from your dryer’s lint screen.
• Keep space heaters at least 3 feet away from combustible materials.
• Make sure your family knows two ways out of every room, when possible.

A few minutes of prevention today could make a big difference when it matters most.

MYTH VS. FACT: Home Fire Edition

Think a small fire means minor damage? Think again.

MYTH: If the flames were small, the damage must be minimal.

FACT: Smoke and soot can travel throughout your home, affecting walls, ceilings, furniture, and belongings far beyond where the fire started. Even a small fire can leave behind lingering odors and hidden damage that shouldn't be ignored.

The flames may be out, but proper cleanup and restoration are still important.

If your home experiences fire or smoke damage, Lanier Home Restoration is here to help you navigate the restoration process.

Fire Prevention Awareness Month: Common Fire Hazards in Your Home

October is Fire Prevention Awareness Month, making it the perfect time to take a closer look at the everyday hazards that could put your home and family at risk.

Some common fire hazards to watch for include:

• Cooking equipment left unattended
• Space heaters placed too close to furniture, curtains, or other combustible items

Did you know?

Fire Prevention Awareness Month has a history that dates back to one of the most devastating fires in American history.

The observance traces its roots to the Great Chicago Fire of October 1871, which destroyed thousands of buildings and left more than 100,000 people homeless. In 1925, President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed the first National Fire Prevention Week.

Today, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) continues the tradition by recognizing Fire Prevention Week each October.

Throughout October, we’ll be sharing important fire prevention and home safety information to help you protect your home, your family, and the things that matter most.

A few simple reminders to start:

• Test your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms monthly and replace batteries every six months.
• Unplug devices when they’re fully charged and never use damaged cords or chargers.
• Keep candles, cooking surfaces, heaters and other heat sources away from anything that can burn.
• Have a home fire escape plan and make sure everyone knows two ways out of every room.

Fire prevention starts with awareness — and sometimes small precautions can make a big difference.

Follow along this month as we cover more fire prevention tips, common household hazards and what you can do to help keep your home safe.
