OUR STORY
In 2020, the world changed.
As COVID swept through our communities, families were hurting, and many small businesses were struggling just to survive. We made a decision that, looking back, probably wasn't the best business decision—but it was one we believed was the right thing to do.
We kept our prices as close to pre-COVID levels as we could because we knew people still needed repairs, and we wanted to keep money in our customers' pockets.
We also expanded our team to as many as 14 people because construction was considered essential, and we wanted to keep families working when so much of the world had shut down.
Over the next few years, we shifted into larger renovations, hoping that bigger projects would create a stronger future for the company. Instead, we ran into vendor issues, rising costs, scheduling challenges, and projects that tied up time and cash flow. What we thought would move us forward became increasingly difficult to sustain.
At home, our family walked through two heartbreaking miscarriages. Along with the grief came medical bills and challenges we never expected.
By the world's standards, this would probably be the time to quit.
But our faith teaches us something different.
I keep thinking about Peter in Luke 5. After fishing all night without catching anything, Jesus told him to cast his net on the other side. It wasn't about trying harder—it was about trusting God's direction.
For us, this feels like our "cast the net on the other side" moment.
We're stepping away from chasing bigger and bigger renovations and returning to what we love most: helping people with honest, dependable repairs. We're simplifying our business, focusing on handyman services, and rebuilding one customer, one project, and one day at a time.
Our mission is simple:
Helping Rebuild Central Virginia, One Repair at a Time.
To keep ourselves accountable, we're setting a public goal:
🎯 Rebuild Goal: $250,000 by December 31
This isn't a fundraiser, and we're not asking for donations. Every dollar will be earned through honest work. Every repair, every referral, every review, and every satisfied customer moves us one step closer to rebuilding a healthy business that can continue serving Central Virginia for years to come.
If you've trusted us with your home before, thank you.
If you've never worked with us, we'd be honored to earn your trust.
Thank you for walking this journey with us.
Helping Rebuild Central Virginia, One Repair at a Time.
