DeLauter is proud to announce the completion of the new Dairy Queen Grill & Chill in Dade City, Florida, a ground-up build delivered by our Southeast Division from site work through grand opening.

We first shared this project in January, when it existed only as a rendering. Since then, our team has carried it through every phase of construction, and we've been glad to share the journey with our community along the way. Seeing it open today reflects the discipline, coordination, and craftsmanship our team brings to every ground-up project.

Being specifically requested by clients for future projects is one of the greatest compliments a Construction Manager can receive, and Fred Bates, Construction Manager in our Midwest Division, has earned that distinction time and time again.

Our Midwest Division has been awarded the SD&S Properties facade project in Melrose Park, Illinois, while our Southeast Division will begin construction on a new Cold Stone Creamery location in Clermont, Florida.

August has brought a lot of visible progress at the future Hanger Clinic in Skokie, Illinois.

Flooring is one of those milestones that changes the entire feel of a jobsite. Much like drywall, it gives definition to the space and makes the finished vision easier to see. The funny part is that once it is installed, it is often quickly covered with protective paper so the rest of the work can continue.

DeLauter has completed a North American Dental Group “Refresh” project in Poland, Ohio, marking our fifth project for this valued partner and their second opening this month.

Led by Nick Tappen and Billy Rutherford, the project was completed ahead of schedule. Our partnership with North American Dental Group continues with a major renovation underway in St. Petersburg, Florida, and another Ohio location preparing to begin in Napoleon.

Florida's 9th Edition (2026) Building Code takes effect this December. Projects submitted for permitting on or after that date will be required to meet the updated design criteria; a change that affects every architect, engineer, and developer with plans currently in progress.

This month's Employee Spotlight features Linda Rizzo, Southeast Office Coordinator at DeLauter, Inc.

Linda joined DeLauter on February 27, 2023, bringing more than 40 years of construction industry experience with her. Her role spans permitting, Notice of Commencements, project closeout documentation, and daily office operations across the Southeast Division. The administrative and compliance infrastructure that keeps Southeast projects moving runs in large part because of the work Linda does every day. Among her proudest contributions: leading the closeout process for the Gateway Apartment project, a detail-intensive effort that reflects exactly the kind of steady, behind-the-scenes ex*****on Linda brings to everything she touches.

"The most rewarding part of my role is being able to help others. Being part of a team that works together and supports one another makes the job very fulfilling."

When asked what keeps her at DeLauter, Linda pointed not to a title or a task, but to the people. That says everything.

This is what the beginning looks like, and it still amazes us after 16-plus years of doing this.

Demo is underway at Perspire Sauna Studio in Palm Harbor, Florida, and framing and electrical are already getting started. What you see on screen, exposed structure, debris, raw walls, is the necessary first step toward one of the most refined and design-forward interior build-outs in the wellness industry.

DeLauter, Inc.'s Midwest and Southeast Divisions have built enough of these to know exactly where this is headed, and with yet another Perspire location in Orlando just kicking off, the work on this vertical is only growing.
