Jobsite walk around from one of our projects in Demotte! We are pushing this one to the finish line and I can’t wait!! Been working on this masterpiece for a while now and it’s all coming together

Two years of hard work, thousands of man-hours, and countless loads of material moved, shaped, and graded.

It’s been an absolutely crazy, busy, and incredible two years since we purchased this land. We’ve been so focused on what’s next that sometimes we forget to stop and appreciate how far we’ve come.

Looking back at where we started and seeing how much this property has transformed is just so dang cool. There’s still plenty more to do, but man, what a journey it’s been!

We’re finishing up the custom natural stone bed edging on this one! Hoping to have it wrapped up by Monday at the latest.

This edging is truly one of a kind, and I’m incredibly proud of our team and the way they’ve executed it.

We’re using Silverdale Limestone, 12” wide, in 48” and 24” lengths. Every piece goes through a process:

We waterproof the underside and let it dry for 24–48 hours. From there, every piece is dry laid and individually cut to follow each curve, transition, and slope. Once everything fits exactly how we want it, the stone is mortar set over an 8–10” base of clean 3/4” stone and geotextile fabric.

After the planting and bed finishes are complete, we’ll come back and caulk all of the joints.

Is it a process? Absolutely. But when it’s finished, it’s going to be SO dang beautiful — and more importantly, it’s built to last.

I’ve said this before about this entire project: when we’re finished, it’s going to look like it was “easy,” like everything just naturally fit together.

In reality, this has been the most complex project we’ve ever taken on.

I normally don’t get to upset about the weather, obviously it’s completely uncontrollable. This morning tho….. I am just frustrated

So much action happening! Pavers, plants, equipment, trucks, edging, drainage, lighting…..it’s alllll happening these days. We are past the summer heat and full steam ahead into the fall. Lots of exciting things to dominate this fall and I’m so grateful for such a great team to do it with!

My first thoughts on the Blue Diamond Attachments severe duty root grapple. We will continue to use this as it make sense but this thing is a beast and moves so fast. I main complaint would be that the hydraulic arms settle to fast when operating and I found myself having to open them often when moving around. Other than that, I loved it!

Perfect music for this reel. 🎻 The grapple and tilt rotator working together is like watching someone play the violin. Smooth, precise, and beautiful. 👌

The Blue Diamond Attachments severe duty root grapple putting in more work consolidating this pile of branches and logs. Turns out it also works great for grabbing boulders!
