As we get deeper into fire season, and especially on red flag days, please be careful when enjoying the outdoors. While we are confident in our work to help make properties fire ready, please don't put it to the test by being careless with fire, because that effects the community around you.

Does your property sit on the edge of a cliff, or on top of a hill? Many homeowners enjoy the view from these properties so much (and rightly so, Central Oregon views are incredible) they often overlook the threat that sits below. Fire loves to travel uphill, and can gain serious speed and intensity when burning from below.
When fire burns uphill, it can easily get into tree canopies, sending embers straight up, right towards your home.

Working on a hillside with a chainsaw and weedeater can often be difficult, and sometimes dangerous work. That's where we can help! We have the experience and ability to work on hills and tough terrain, doing work that can drastically slow a fire's spread if one starts below your home. What is defensible space? Defensible space is everything from the smaller projects like replacing combustible mulch around your home with non combustible material, to the bigger projects, like strategically removing trees to improve spacing. It also involves the more well known components of limbing up trees, and mowing/ weedeating. Using the checklist for defensible space provided by the state fire marshal, we ensure we hit all of the components to make sure your property is ready.

Wildfire preparedness day is coming up! This link provides some valuable info about the Home Ignition Zone, and there are some helpful tips and ideas for getting your community ready for fire season.
