DG2 Design Landscape Architecture

A year and a half after installation, the landscape at St. Louis Community College–Florissant Valley’s Advanced Manufacturing Center is thriving! 🌿

Great landscapes don’t happen overnight. They are living, changing environments that require adjustments, maintenance, and care.

DG2 doesn’t disappear when construction ends. Our post-construction services help build a strong partnership between the client, maintenance team, and designer, giving the landscape what it needs to thrive for years to come.

We took a moment out of our busy schedules to celebrate our team and all that we’ve accomplished in the first half of the year. 21c Museum Hotel did not disappoint. Great food, a great atmosphere, and even better company!

We’re grateful for this team, the work we get to do together, and all that 2026 has brought so far. Here’s to a strong finish to the rest of the year!

Yesterday we had the privilege of celebrating the Topping Off Ceremony for the new BJC Children’s Specialty Care Center, Wentzville.

As a parent who has taken multiple children to specialty clinics, I deeply appreciate the thoughtful design and welcoming environments these facilities provide. Having this level of pediatric specialty care available closer to home brings peace of mind to families and reduces the stress of traveling long distances during already challenging times.

You may notice a tree placed atop the final structural beam. An ancient Scandinavian tradition places a tree atop a new building to appease the tree-dwelling spirits displaced in its construction. The tree is also thought to symbolize growth and bring good luck. Over time, the tradition has also become a way to give thanks and show respect to the earth for its valuable resources.

We're honored to be part of a team creating spaces that will care for children and families for generations to come.

When DG2 Design had the opportunity to join the Field-To-Table Institute team, we jumped in with both feet. It is an honor to help create a place that will shape the future of education by connecting sustainable agriculture, food systems, and community in one.

Congratulations to St. Charles Community College, JEMA, and Navigate Building Solutions on this visionary project. We are proud to be part of a team investing in the next century of learning and stewardship.

This week, Sara and Kristy were on site with Tarlton Corporation and Landesign llc setting the Vestre site furnishings. Surface mounting on 7"x7" pavers requires precision and coordination to ensure every anchor lands exactly where it should. It is one of those details most people won't notice, but that is the point. Great public spaces are built with careful collaboration and attention to the smallest details. Excited to see the plaza continue to come together!

We don't often post demolition projects vs construction. STLCC is the final phase of a $140M+ campus improvement program, and 4 buildings are coming down to make way for the future of this campus. Until future buildings are built, the site will be restored to native landscape creating ecological value and special gathering spaces for students, faculty, and visitors to enjoy.

Transformation doesn’t always begin with construction. It often begins with a vision for what’s next.

Congratulations to our design partner eddy Design Group, for being awarded two Favorite Building Awards from the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, for 4Hands Brewery and Proper Brands' flagship location.

We worked with Eddy on the 4Hands, in the former Down by the Station space in downtown Kirkwood, breathing new life into an existing building and creating a new loved people space.

We're grateful to the City of Kirkwood Landmarks Commission for the recognition and proud to see the positive impact both spaces have had on the Kirkwood community. Congratulations to all of the owners and architects recognized this year!

DG2 Design designed the restaurant landscape for 4 Hands & Peacemaker in downtown Kirkwood, MO, blending native plants, boulders, and flexible outdoor dining spaces.
