Here are some recent creations from the River Routers shop.

The YMCA Adventure Guides plaques are made from Sapele which is a type of African Mahogany used for boats, fine furniture, and cabinetry.

The YMCA Adventure Guides program encourages parents to get to know your kid while your kid is still young with group activities such as games, crafts, songs, stories, skits, ceremonies and outdoor pursuits such as camping, hiking and swimming.

The YMCA Adventure Guides plaques are presented during the Broken Arrow Ceremony.

The Honors plaque recognizes the outgoing Nation Chief father for his service and leadership.

During the ceremony, the fathers break an arrow in half and keep the end with the feathers attached, because feathers guide the arrow just as a father guides his son. The sons keep the half with the arrow on it, symbolizing the son’s ability to take responsibility for his own direction.

While not seen in the photos, there are cup hooks attached to each father/son plaque to hold their end of the “Broken Arrow”.

The Cub Scout Arrow of Light award is for the oldest Cub Scouts. The Arrow of Light program offers 5th grade Webelos the opportunity to earn a patch that transfers to their Scouts BSA uniform. By earning this recognition, a scout demonstrates readiness for the next step on the Boy Scout trail.

These plaques provide recognition for their achievements that can be displayed in their home.
