This raised ranch home is now a little more open on the upper level when we took down a wall. Then we divided a space in half on the lower level by adding a wall. The kitchen got a new farmhouse style sink, quartz counters and a subway tile backsplash as well as some new lighting! These clients have a lot of other projects on their mind so they decided not to paint yet, but it's on the future project list!

This remodel definitely had some challenges, but we got through it. Just waiting for the custom glass shower panel to be installed but put up a shower curtain so the client can use the shower while awaiting the glass installation.

Sunroom upgrade!

From paneling and carpet to shiplap and luxury vinyl, this sunroom upgrade is complete!

When you pull off the tan bead board and find yellow bead board. 🙄🤣 Full transformation of this room soon to come!

This space has officially been transformed from a concrete slab, to a beautiful entertainment space large enough for a big couch and coffee table, space for a pool or ping pong table, as well as a bar space with room for a 60" TV and also has a half bathroom and a separate office/exercise room! Thanks to for completing the plumbing work and for completing the electrical!

We have been working on finishing a large basement (which is almost complete) but while we are waiting for the final materials to arrive to put the finishing touches on that, we installed this tile backsplash for the clients!

Kitchen remodel

Had some obstacles getting some materials in a timely fashion for this job, but after all is said and done, this kitchen got a beautiful upgrade! Just need to put on the covers for the plugs in the backsplash and its 100% complete. We did a little work to the crown molding, painted the cabinets, installed a new cast iron farmhouse sink, faucet, quartz counters a subway tile backsplash and a new energy efficient window!

New composite decking

This small deck got a nice overhaul this past week. From small metal railings and painted pressure treated lumber to high end composite railings and Azek composite deck boards and trim.

For some reason, it seems like developers and builders were able to get away with using low grade materials during the home building process in the 1980's. In this case, this home has very "bouncy" sub floors. This is for a couple of reasons; the joist system below was not properly spaced in all areas and the subfloor used was only 1/2" thick. Well in this room of the home that problem has been fixed! We added extra support to the joist system where needed, glued and screwed down and new 3/4" thick plywood subfloor, then added brand new red oak hardwoods, new plastered drywall, paint and new trim all around! We also created space and framed out a new closet for the bedroom on the opposite side of the one that got the new floors! A big thank you to and her husband Josh for trusting us to complete this project for them!

Wall painting

We went back to Cumberland for a "returning" client to do a quick paint job this week.

A major transformation of this 1940's bathroom, now definitely with a beautiful rustic chic look!

Kitchen remodel

We gave this kitchen a much needed face-lift! Out with the old and in with the new! Thank you to our clients for allowing us to make this transformation for them!

New deck railings and stairs

This deck was in need of repair after a tree fell and took the majority of the railing system down, which was a blessing in disguise as the railing system was never properly built. There was over 70 feet of railing but there was not 1 support post. Not to mention the entire staircase was being supported with just 1 nail! 😬 Now there are support posts everywhere required and the staircase has been rebuilt and properly attached!

This bathroom had been 95% complete for what seemed like forever after the vanity was delivered damaged multiple times. Well the vanity is finally in and this bathroom is finally 100% remodeled. Thanks for the plumbing work! And thanks to my clients .jordan and Jay for trusting us to complete this work for them!

This unfinished basement space was being used as an office before we finished it. I think it's safe to say the space is going to be a little more comfortable to work now!

Cabinet painting

Been so busy we haven't made any posts in a while so here's a kitchen we refinished the cabinets from the original cherry color to Benjamin Moore Simply White! Also installed new hardware.

Complete repaint of these bedrooms/office...ceilings, trim, doors and walls. These old horsehair plaster walls were in need of some serious TLC after the homeowners took wallpaper down.

Thanks to my most recent clients for inviting me into their home to finish up an archway and do some painting!

Bathroom Remodel

After some material delivery delays and a few covid quarantines, I was also able to finish up these bathroom remodels this week.

Basement Remodel

Finished up this basement remodel this week. New drywall, drop ceiling and waterproof vinyl plank flooring.

On Small Business Saturday we just wanted to take the time to thank everyone who has supported our small business since we got started in 2016! We appreciate everyone's support!

Exterior Painting

Here's a before and after slide show of a paint job done this summer. Only slight color change on the main body, but a big difference in the trim and doors!

A kitchen remodel we completed a while back with a custom built island.

It's been a long time since we posted anything, but we have been busy. Here is a before and after sideshow of an exterior paint job we just finished.

Years of water damage and rotted wood have been repaired at this beautiful home in Galilee! The old mahogany deck, old vinyl roofing and all the rotted wood was removed. All the damaged areas were repaired and new flashing and roofing was installed. Then it was finished off with beautiful Azek English Walnut decking!

Didn't do anything to the walls or tub in this bathroom, but we did a nice tile upgrade, new vanity and new eco-friendly toilet.

These walls were in much worse shape than the before pics show. They required a lot of spackle and sanding to get nice and smooth. But now they all got fresh paint throughout the 1st floor of this cute Cape Cod style home in Walpole, MA. The owners will be installing new chair rail themselves on the 2 toned walls soon!

Our client made a last minute decision to completely swap out her fireplace, and that is on order! Other than that and the new mantle that will surround it, this one is done! We partnered again with .home.improvement for a complete tranformation of this living space which included a full repaint and new vinyl plank flooring! Also updated the wall colors in the bedroom and bathroom!

Another contractor left my client in his home with a hole in his wall, no lower kitchen cabinets, counter or sink for 6 months. He kept promising that he would get to him next because "...this job I just got is worth too much money so I have to do it first"...excuse. That eventually turned into no longer even answering calls/texts, so that is where we come in. After clearing some time to get to there a.s.a.p. we got the wall insulated and repaired, all his new cabinets in, a beautiful new granite counter and a working sink!

Finished this one up just before Thanksgiving, but just getting around to posting. Another one done in partnership with Precision Home Improvement (carpenter/tile expert). We went in and not only made these new tile floors amazing, but also did an entire repaint of the bedrooms, staircase, entire 1st floor and kitchen cabinets! Always

Once again working in partnership with Nathan Tomasso of Precision Home Improvement, we did a complete facelift of this back deck and front porch on Great Island in Narragansett! We ripped out the old back yard deck boards and railings and installed all new pressure treated decking and a custom TimberTech cable railing! Unfortunately we forgot to take before pics of the front porch 🤦‍♂️ but you can see the beautiful new Azek decking we installed in the last 3 pics.

Finished this partial bathroom remodel a few weeks back while the family was away on vacation. New tile floor, toilet and vanity!

So I just walked out of Sherwin Williams at the same time another contractor walked out of the Dollar Tree next door. He then randomly starts talking to me and telling me how much better it is shopping in the dollar store for materials you can get there. "Tubes of caulk for a dollar, you can't beat that!", is what he said!!! So that being said, if you were a homeowner paying a contractor to work in your home, would you want him shopping for your materials at the Dollar Tree?

While you haven't heard from us this is what we've been doing! Historic home exterior restoration. The entire body of the home is done, still working on reglazing and painting all the windows!

After my friends from Woodpecker Floors refinished all the hardwoods, I went in and did this paint job last week for my clients, while they were working hard on moving into their new home!

About a year ago some of my neighbors had 2 guys install a deck off the back of their house. I know the job was not permitted, and I assume it was a side job as they completed the entire job in 2 days on a Saturday and Sunday. Today I came home from a mini vacation to see my neighbors deck like this. Just another example of the importance of hiring checking references before hiring someone! Just because they are a registered contractor does not mean they know what they are doing!!!

Prepping the walls on a new job today and came across a bubble in the wall, scraped it off to find this...whoever patched the hole that was here before stuffed it with paper before spackling. Folks, that is not the correct way to do things! 🤦‍♂️ I can't stress enough the fact that just because someone is a "registered contractor" does NOT mean they know what they are doing!!! Ask for multiple references before hiring someone to work in your home!
