Well it looks like tomorrow is the start day ! I will be out getting started. I’ve had a few people reach out that took advantage of those pretty days we had and got their lawns cleaned up so I will be hitting those areas first. A bit of housekeeping to deal with … I had a ton of non payments this winter. It was a very stressful winter to say the least. I have sent 3 rounds of statements , emailed invoices but not everyone has cleared their balances. If you have a balance from last year I am not going to service your property until matter is cleared up. I can’t just keep fertilizing lawns for free. It has become a real problem in the last couple of years With that being said I hope we get all issues cleared up and I see you soon !

Good afternoon kids. Well the melting has begun. I’m actually seeing grass. I’m also seeing a ton of damage. I know you can’t see your whole lawn yet but when you an if you think we are going to have to some repairs please let me know asap. I’ll need to adjust Round 1 products . Keep the faith Spring is on the way !

Well it just keeps snowing. It’s going to be a late start this year it seems. With that being said once this white menace melts I will be working 7 days a week until I get back on track. So if ya see me on your lawn at 7 am on a Sunday don’t be worried ….. you didn’t sleep through your alarm …. It’s not Monday

Well the snow and following frigid temps that are keeping the snow around really threw me a curve ball. I am not finished with winterizations yet and still plan on getting them done. Supposed to have a few days of warm weather and some rain so will be back out on Monday to pick back up. I should be able to get them all done in 2 weeks. So if you see me on your lawn Christmas morning I don’t like marshmallows in my hot chocolate. ( just kidding ). I do hate marshmallows though … and I will take that hot chocolate the day after Christmas. Be out soon !!!

Well that time of year has come….leaves
Doing a lot drive bys due to leaf cover. It’s getting a little emotionally frustrating. Sooooo if you have cleaned your leaves , landscaper has been there or you know the day they are please send me a message. I will get out asap to get the lawn taken care of.

Well it appears the majority of snow has left the building. Little bit of rain and some Temps in the 40’s did the trick. I will be back out this week to get the winterizations complete. Quite a few of you still had leaves on your lawns before the snow and I’m sure they are still there because it’s very difficult to take snow covered leaves. If by chance anyone has their landscaper make an appearance and gets your lawn clean let me know and I will get right out See you this week !

Well Mother Nature got me again. I was hoping to finish winterizations this week but all the grass is covered with ugly white stuff. So things have been paused. I’m hoping it melts quick and I can get back out but the temps are looking like it may be another week before it’s all gone. I really want to get these completed because it really impacts the green up process in the spring. It also cuts down on a lot of spring related issues. I will wait for the melt and then put on my winter hat and get back to it as soon as I can. Enjoy the holidays and stay safe in those icy sidewalks

Well that time of the year has come…. Riding around looking at leaf covered lawns . At this point I have been by pretty much every single lawn and either treated it ( if your dates were due)or couldn’t do to not being cut or leaves. Some lawns I have been trying to do for weeks. I know the landscapers slow way down this time of the year so I play the hit or miss game. I’ll continue to make the rounds and try to keep a happy attitude. It has been a very difficult year for me. Mother Nature was vicious this year . Construction has had me banging on the steering wheel a couple hundred times. And I fell on lawns not once but twice …. Bad sprained ankles and a sizable injury to a knee slowed me down a bit. I wrapped it up , laced my boots a little tighter and went out there every day. A lot of lawns did not look good this year. I tried to fix everything as I went , it was a lot to get to . I guess my point in all of this is that I am out here …. I’m always out here …. But I am human and things happen…… being self employed there are no sick days ……many of you understood this , some did not. I never ever want to lose a customer but I get your aggravation. I get aggravated too. Gas is expensive, I would much rather do every lawn I go by …… that is never the case . People get sick , landscapers get behind , vacations happen and lawns don’t get cut. So that being said …. I have forgotten no one….. I have been by …. I’ll be by again

These pictures are of my lawn . You can see where my sprinkler doesn’t hit the grass. This is what is happening with lawns right now. Depending on rainfall to water our lawns can lead to summer dormancy. When we get small infrequent rain storms it does not bring lawn out of dormancy. Daily deep watering is the only thing that will help. Unfortunately once lawn is stressed intermittent water can germinate a lot of weeds. This is what’s going on out there. I am going as fast as I can but it takes me a while on each lawn. I’m trying to hit all the weeds. Different weeds need different products. It is time consuming. Summer lawn care in New England is not an easy task anymore. Raising mower and not trimming edges too short can help. It will reduce some of the stress to turf. The amount of service calls I’m doing right now is crazy . I’m doing them as I go to areas but I’m trying to finish up grub controls at the same time. Please be patient.
