With the pool season winding down so are our hours. We are currently open 10-4 Tuesday through Friday.

When your pool is green, why is brushing so important?
You know how when your cooking you gotta move the food around almost scrap the sides of the pot. Think of your pool as a big cauldron. If you don't get the algae off the sides mixed up it's gonna stick and be harder to get off later.

When should you close your pool?
When it's no longer going to be hot. So probably October/ November.
Why you might ask? Because it's much more likely that it will turn green while it's closed and be a mess to clean up when you open. Algae thrives in warm, slow moving water (epa.gov).

Do you know what kind of system you have? Do you know how to maintain you pool?

If the answer is no than we have what we like to call an education. For only $125 we come out and teach you about your pool and how to keep it pretty. This is great for new pools or "new to you" pools.

How is the pressure on the jets in your pool? Have you been backwashing? When was your last sand change?

If you have been backwashing and rinsing your sand filter and there's sand in the pool or pressure on your jets is low, you may need a sand change. It's recommended to do a sand change every 5-7 years. We have been seeing a lot of filters struggling this season with all the pollen then this weird rainy summer. If you have a sand filter you should be back washing at least weekly. If you are in the process of cleaning up a green pool this is going to need to happen at least daily if not twice a day. Feel free to give us a call if you have questions. 470-444-9914

When was your last sand change on your filter? Sand should be replaced every 5-7 years. The sand looses it's grit and becomes smooth and less effective at filtering particulates out of water.
