Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson built a public image on solidarity and worker justice—saying one thing about workers rallying against corporate greed, then doing the worst thing possible: undermining QSL America workers who have been on strike for a year. When workers at Chicago’s ports needed solidarity the most, he stood with the longshoremen, a union under federal investigation for colluding with QSL to take away workers’ rights. Shame on Mayor Johnson for supporting collusion and turning his back on Chicago’s workers. QSL workers on strike are fighting for safety, respect, and the chance to choose a union of their choice.
