This Memorial Day, we honor the heroes who gave everything for our freedom. 🇺🇸
More than 1.3 million Americans have made the ultimate sacrifice since our country’s founding— each one shaped the freedom we know today.

Union solidarity carries forward their sacrifice and continues the fight each day for our freedom.

May we remember their sacrifice, cherish our freedoms, and stand united as one nation.

Shout out to every Brother, Sister, retiree, apprentice, and family member who came out for the Local 150 District 5 Grill & Unite, Union Family Night.

From stories of the Lone Star strike to apprenticeship photos dating back to 1968, the night was about honoring where we came from and standing strong for where we’re going. Members shared memories, built new ones, and showed the strength that comes from union solidarity across generations.

Proud to stand together. Proud to keep the fight alive.

Thank you to all of the IUOE Local 150 members that came out to last night's LaPorte City Council meeting. Thanks to your support, the council unanimously approved ordinances supporting the expansion of the Microsoft data center near Highway 35. 👏

At Friday’s IIPD Board meeting, Bob Reiter, CFL President, called out an arbitrary rule requiring people entering the meeting to remove baseball hats — including hats with union insignia. In this context, that raises serious concerns about freedom of expression and anti-union animus.
Municipal governance 101: rules need a legitimate purpose, not selective enforcement against working people.
The NLRB has already found merit in unfair labor practice charges against QSL and the ILA, while finding no merit in the charge against Local 150. The facts are becoming impossible to ignore.
The labor unrest provisions in the lease agreement exist for a reason. The Port has a responsibility to enforce them and a role to play in holding companies accountable when workers’ rights are violated.
Labor rights. Free expression. Accountability.
