We are dealing with brown lawns and unhappiness about that.
For Four Lakes Lawn Care,
This weather really stinks!
I was hoping for some good storms today..... It didn't happen, but, the folks in the Appleton area would appreciate a brown lawn vs what happened today to them.
Harts out.....
Lets keep our perspectives right.
We didn't get rain down here, but we still have our houses.
Hopefully there were no fatalities up there....

Looks like most of our area is not going to get rain tonight.
I know that no one likes to water their lawn. But, if you want your lawn to survive this dry spell, WATER! Blue grass does ok 3-4 weeks with proper moisture. (1 inches per week).
Right now, your lawn can start dying out. Plus, fungus, insects and grub damage will become more apparent without proper moisture.

Its hot and dry....
If you are concerned about getting drought stress, insect damage, or disease (fungal) damage on your lawn,
Its watering time!
I have a sprinkler going right now on my lawn....

Quick PSA....
Yes it has turned dry early this year.
Right now, it is still all good for treatments. Remember that we use dry fertilizer. The fertilizer will sit there until we get rain and will feed the lawn. Holding off until after we get rain is not the correct plan. Fertilize now, it will be there when the rain happens next weekend.
Plus, with the dry weather, the crabgrass is struggling, and we are still putting down the pre emergent mix.

Four Lakes Lawn Care Friends,
We are planning on getting on the lawns on Monday. The Lawns are already greening up! We will be putting down fertilizer and crabgrass pre emergent. We'll start up with w**d control once the w**ds start emerging. If you have a shaded lawn with snow on it still or if it is still too soft for an application, we will hold off.
