We were lucky enough to have nearly 200 of our closest 1st grade friends from Flour Bluff ISD visit our station and learn about fire prevention and all things firefighting related. We are whooped, but tomorrow is a new day looking forward to seeing another 200 of our closest friends. Happy Fire Prevention Week 2026.!

FIRE at the Speedy Stop!? NO! Actually, there was no fire, just dust from lime and preparation for laying concrete. A fire crew did head over there just to double check and they confirmed that it was just construction dust. We would expect it for a few more days as the heavy concrete work continues. Have a great weekend Islanders.
