At AGC South Texas, we're more than an association we're a community, and when one of our own is hurting, we come together.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Robert Almeida of STBP, his daughter Alayia, and their entire family as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. Alayia was involved in a serious car accident a few weeks ago and remains hospitalized in San Antonio, facing a long road to recovery.

We're honored to help share this fundraiser with our members and community in hopes of providing support during this challenging time.

What an incredible afternoon yesterday at AGC South Texas!

A huge thank you to all of our guest speakers who took the time to share their knowledge, experience, and passion for the construction industry. Your willingness to invest in the next generation and educate our CTE instructors and students is truly appreciated.

Thank you as well to every educator and student who joined us for our Educate the Educators program. We hope you left with valuable insight into the many career opportunities our industry has to offer and a deeper understanding of the people and professions that help build our communities.

It takes partnerships like these to strengthen our workforce and inspire future construction professionals, and we’re grateful to everyone who made yesterday such a success.

We look forward to continuing to build these connections and investing in the future of our industry, together.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our Sports Trivia Mixer & 85th Anniversary Celebration! It was great seeing so many familiar faces, meeting new ones, and spending the evening connecting, laughing, and enjoying some friendly competition.

This morning, We were pleased to host the Masonry portion of the TIVA CTE Educator Training at our office!

It was a great opportunity for Career & Technical Education (CTE) educators to get hands-on experience with masonry while learning more about the skills, techniques, and career opportunities within the construction industry. By equipping educators with real-world industry knowledge, they can bring valuable insights back to their classrooms and help inspire the next generation of skilled trades professionals.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this morning a success. We appreciate your commitment to strengthening construction education and workforce development!

AGC was honored to attend Joann’s benefit this past weekend, and what an incredible reminder of the strength and compassion of our community.

Seeing so many friends, family, coworkers, and local businesses come together to support such an amazing woman was truly inspiring. The love shown on Saturday was a beautiful testament to the impact Joann has made on so many lives.

Please continue to keep Joann in your thoughts and prayers as she courageously continues her battle. Every prayer, kind word, and act of support means more than you know.

Many of our AGC South Texas members know JoAnn Cantu through her work with NCS and the friendships she's built throughout our industry. As she courageously battles Stage 3 breast cancer, we're asking our construction community to come together and support her during this difficult time.

Please join us in supporting JoAnn at her Breast Cancer Benefit on Saturday, July 11, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Rooster's Beer Garden. Hamburger plate lunches, including chips and a drink, will be available for $10, with all proceeds helping offset medical expenses.
