CONGRATULATIONS, PHYLIS!
If there is one person at Standard Construction whom everyone knows by name, it is Phylis Lovell. Phylis has served our employees from the Human Resources Department since 1996. After almost 30 years, she has decided to retire. In her time here, she has given so much time and energy to the company for the benefit of our employees. Phylis is known for putting her whole heart into everything she does and always has the employees’ best interest at heart. She frequently takes your calls before and after hours, helping with the smallest of things to the biggest of things. She goes above and beyond in everything she does, which is why she is everyone’s go-to person.
We hope that Phylis slows down and enjoys some rest and relaxation in retirement, because she has earned it. We know her favorite place is the beach, so hopefully she will get to spend a lot of time there during retirement, as well as have more time to enjoy with her great-grandchildren.
Standard Construction is grateful for Phylis and the time and commitment she has given throughout the years. We wish her only the best in her well-deserved retirement. ◊

Each year as our gift to each other in the offices of Standard Construction we donate to a cause in the communities in which we work. This year we organized a food drive for the Hearts and Hands Ministries in Byhalia, Mississippi. They are not a part of the Mid South food bank so they rely solely on direct donations.  We were pleased to be able to help them this year with items such as oatmeal, canned goods, peanut butter, pasta, canned tuna, and other items. In this day and time, no one should have to go without a meal.
