Was your home a little uncomfortable this morning? Did you have to fight your hair extra because it was trying to frizz, even though you went through your same morning routine? You had the thermostat set the same as always? This picture likely shows what the problem is.

With the decreased temperatures, especially overnight, and precipitation we’ve had the last couple of days, the humidity is up. Yes, even inside your home.

As a machine, all your AC knows it’s doing is removing humidity. The cold air, is just a byproduct of that dehumidification process. That’s why we call them Air Conditioners, not just air coolers. When temperatures drop, traditional units don’t run as much. Thus, humidity isn’t conditioned out effectively.

Most consider that a good thing. It’s not running, so it’s saving us money, right?
Not necessarily. When the humidity is higher in your home, you’ll likely drop the thermostat a couple of degrees. So you lose efficiency, simply by having to run at that lower temperature.

Traditional units and thermostats, don’t monitor humidity. Modern units have increased efficiency, comfort, monitoring and control built in. Smart phone capabilities make it even better.

Save money on utilities while being as comfortable as possible in your home. Many options are available.

Mark the calendar. Two years from today systems will jump in price again. Government regulations are driving hvac costs through the roof. This year it was DOE, coming up next is EPA. Currently R410a has a GWP of over 2,000, the highest allowed with this new proposal is 700 or under.

If you have an older unit, change it now, or regret it later!

We've known for a while now that 410a refrigerant is going away eventually. However, one thing we haven't known is the exact date, during the phase-down of 4...

Returns are one of the most overlooked parts for the majority of the systems I look at. Fixing your return air, could not only make you more comfortable, but extend the life of your equipment in many cases.

When you have central air and heat, air vents are typically in each room. Some large rooms have two or three. But what about the…

Everything in your home contributes to your Indoor Air Quality and Health. Here’s a nice visual of a home that does a good job regulating particulate matter in the air, but the spike in the middle is actually simply someone overcooking food. (Note that it hung around for days)

What’s Particulate Matter? Particulate Matter (also called particle pollution): the term for a mixture of solid particles and liquid droplets found in the air. Some particles, such as dust, dirt, soot, or smoke, are large or dark enough to be seen with the naked eye. 🤢🤢🤢 Others are so small they can only be detected using an electron microscope.

Exposure to fine particles can cause short-term health effects such as eye, nose, throat and lung irritation, coughing, sneezing, runny nose and shortness of breath. Exposure to fine particles can also affect lung function and worsen medical conditions such as asthma and heart disease. 🤧😷🤒

There are many different ways to combat poor Indoor Air Quality. The biggest way? Start by asking me what your options are for a personalize system that battles all of your specific needs. Allergies, Nose Bleeds, Lungs, Burnt Food, Moisture, Chapped Lips, Dehydration. Even how to effortlessly get rid of bathroom stench within minutes of dad leaving the room 😂.

(PS: Most of the options could actually end up saving money on utility bills) 👌👍
