This is how we drill holes in the ground with mud being pumped down to lift the cuttings out and keep the borehole open.

Thank you to Ottawa County Water Resources Commissioner Joe Bush for all of his effort in pursuing funds to investigate the feasibility of Managed Aquifer Recharge in Ottawa County. Joe and our owner, Steve Hecksel, have travelled to Colorado and Arizona in the last year to learn more about the process. We are excited to pursue innovative ways to address our groundwater challenges in Ottawa County. Thank your to Bradley Slagh - State Representative, for seeing the importance this research can mean to our local area and the State of Michigan. Our state is so far behind in having true, accurate geological data to make responsible decisions for our precious resources. Our company is excited to see what the future holds.

Access to drinking water and water for our agricultural products is essential. As many know, due to various factors, many of our county's aquifers are not able to properly recharge, leading to numerous problems for homeowners and farmers. Earlier this year, Joe Bush, our County Water Resources Director, came to me asking for assistance in securing funding for a feasibility study to assess groundwater levels, recharge and withdrawal rates, and overall aquifer health in our area. The study will also provide recommendations, including potential managed aquifer recharge projects, stormwater capture strategies, conservation measures, and infrastructure improvements. Not only will the work Ottawa County is planning to do benefit us but it will also provide information to other counties experiencing similar issues. I'm happy to report that I was able to secure the necessary funding for this study in the budget that was recently approved.

Rain brings more than puddles and umbrellas, it helps sustain one of our most important water resources. By soaking into the ground and replenishing aquifers, rainfall plays a vital role in maintaining groundwater supplies.
