Whoever built this Deck 25 years ago did a great job. It is still standing. A lot has changed in the Deck industry just because a deck is standing does not mean it can get a remodel . Whenever we do a remodel, we convert the structure to 12 inches on center Rehang all of the joists to make sure we have a level play field for the decking fully block the frame lay down build all of our ladder walls and install all of our blocking this Deck has been baking in the sun for 25 years the posts and beam are a little under sized full of dry rot. Some decks are not worth saving.

What a fun finish in New Brighton, MN!
This TimberTech remodel really shows off how sharp their materials look. (Alex accidentally mentioned Woodbury in the video—but this beauty is right here in New Brighton!)

Like every remodel we take on, the first step was assessing the existing frame to make sure the investment would last. From there, we re-leveled the structure, added ladder walls and blocking, and followed all manufacturer installation guidelines to ensure the deck is built to perform and look amazing for years to come.
