A concrete roadway may look simple from behind the wheel, but there's a lot happening underneath. Subgrade preparation, drainage, reinforcement, joint design, concrete mix, placement, finishing, and curing all play a role in how a pavement performs.

And then comes the real test: thousands of vehicles traveling over it year after year.

Quality pavement starts long before the concrete is poured. The work you don't see is just as important as the finished road you drive on.

Good roads don't happen by accident. They're built that way. 🛣️🔨

Did you know that properly designed concrete pavement can potentially provide 40 years or more of service life?

Unlike asphalt, which relies on petroleum-based binders, concrete pavement uses cement to create a rigid surface capable of carrying heavy traffic loads. That's especially valuable for highways, intersections, industrial areas, and other locations where pavement takes a daily pounding.

Every road has a job to do. The goal is to build it to keep doing that job for a very long time.

That's what concrete brings to the table—and what Weaver-Bailey brings to the jobsite. 👷‍♂️🏗️
