Come get some FREE TREES at Jones Park on Saturday May 2, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The species available are Eagleston Holly, Shumard Oak, Eastern Redbud, and American Persimmon in 5 gallon pots. Stock is limited so come out at 9 a.m. to get your pick! 3 tree limit per family.

ARBOR DAY POSTER CONTEST: The results are in for the DNR Division of Forestry's annual Arbor Day Poster Contest, and we have many artistic explorations of the contest theme, Trees and Pollinators Make Perfect Partners, to celebrate. Our third place winner is Isabelle Schipp from Ferdinand, IN! First, second, and third place winners will all receive an education savings deposit courtesy of Indiana529. Congratulations, Isabelle!
