On May 19, 2026, the Texas Builders Foundation awarded a $4,500 Tool Grant to Palmer ISD in Palmer, Texas, for their high school's Construction Trades program.

Over the last two years, students have been working to construct a tiny home (pictured here) with the help of Elmwood Homes. The tiny home will soon go up for auction, and all proceeds will go back into Palmer ISD's program.

With the Foundation's mission to grow the future of the residential construction workforce, The Texas Builders Foundation is proud to support Palmer ISD in their efforts to provide essential skills training to the next generation.

Today a few of us trustees from the Texas Builders Foundation drove from across Texas and had the incredible honor of presenting Palmer High School’s CTE Department with a grant to help support and grow the future of construction trades.

Watching these students showcase the beautiful tiny home they built right on their school grounds was nothing short of inspiring. The craftsmanship, teamwork, and pride they poured into this project was evident in every detail.

A huge thank you to all of the sponsors and supporters who continue investing in the next generation of builders, leaders, and skilled tradesmen. The future is bright, and these students are proof of that!

Today’s tour of the incredible Home Depot Pro Distribution Facility in Conroe was seriously impressive!

Let’s just say… if you love operations, logistics, leadership, efficiency, and teamwork, this place is like Disney World for builders and business minds. 😄
From the moment we walked in, it was clear this team understands that excellence is not accidental it’s built through systems, communication, accountability, and people who care about the mission.
One thing that really stood out to me was how much business and homebuilding truly mirror each other:
The right foundation matters.
The right people matter.
And what happens behind the scenes determines the final result every single time.
Grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and see firsthand how innovation and teamwork keep things moving at such a high level.

Out of more than 1,200 entries submitted from across the great state of Texas, this recognition is truly humbling. To stand alongside so many talented builders, designers, and industry professionals is an honor we do not take lightly.
This milestone is a reflection of the incredible clients who trust us with their stories, our hardworking team who pours their hearts into every detail, and the amazing community that continues to support and believe in us.
