What a week it was for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Fall Leadership meeting!

With jam-packed Committee meetings, an amazing leadership academy communication training, a visit to the Detroit Historical Museum, and time spent with people who raise your bar and encourage you to keep growing! 💙

I’ve always heard to surround yourself with people who won’t let you settle, and my 2026 NAHB Leadership Academy cohort and fellow industry leaders are exactly that.

There’s something special about being surrounded by like-minded people who push you to be better, do better, and remember that while business is never easy, it’s worth the effort. I’m grateful for the friendships, encouragement, and lessons I’m bringing home!

And a pretty cool bonus, we were right across the Detroit River from Canada! The entrance to the tunnel was just outside our hotel. If only I’d brought my passport!! 🇺🇸🇨🇦

Today, I was honored to serve as master of ceremonies for the HomeAid Houston HALO Luncheon, and I left feeling deeply grateful.

The event highlighted HomeAid Houston’s meaningful work and the difference it makes in our community. It was moving to help share that story and be part of such an impactful gathering. Daniel Alexander CEO of Angel Reach and Felicia Broussard Chief Philanthropy Officer with Covenant House did an amazing job sharing their why on what they do, and it was so inspiring!

I also enjoyed reconnecting with friends from the Greater Houston Builders Association and meeting new people who share a strong commitment to giving back.

If you’re not familiar with HomeAid Houston, I encourage you to learn more about its important work. I’m confident you’ll be inspired by the organization’s impact.

Thank you for allowing me to play a small part in such an incredible day. 💙
