Are you shocked to see this on this Woodforest roof? Would you be even more surprised if I told you these homeowners did not even think they had any leaks?

This is common for builder grade original roofs here in Woodforest. These are pictures from today's roof replacement in Kinderwood - A less than 10 year old roof which had about 6 leaks all over this roof that the customers didn't even know about - causing water to pe*****te the decking, rot the wood and in some part the rafter; causing major issues for this homeowner if it wasn't caught.

We have replaced 300+ roofs in Woodforest - would you also be surprised if I told you that its rare to not find any issues on a Woodforest roof at all? Sure, this one has many and some that are very bad, but most roofs we replace in this neighborhood look just like this one underneath.

We will of course fix this and install the roof the correct way - The Blue Truss Installation is done with care and detail- which exceeds manufacturers install guidelines and gives homeowners their best protection against issues like this that risk their home and possessions or much bigger issues.

This roof is getting a CertainTeed 5-Star Warranty. 50 years of materials defect coverage and 30 years of Workmanship coverage, backed by the manufacturer themselves! A class 3 shingle which is more impact resistant then a standard builder grade shingle, all new flashing, ventilation, pe*******on boots/vents and Ice and Water Shield in all the vulnerable areas to never have this issue in the future. Finished with 6 nails per shingle.

Woodforest - Call us if you want us to look and assess your original builder grade roof. Don't wait until you have water in your attic.

These customers were lucky - but not everyone we have replaced got through it without major damage inside. We are here to help!

Holiday decorating is fun... but putting screws, nails, or staples into your roof isn't. Those tiny holes can let moisture in and lead to leaks, mold, and long term damage especially with our recent rain and colder temps. 🎅🎄🏡❄️

Here are safer ways to bring the holiday cheer:
* Skip the roof entirely:
• Use projectors, yard inflatables, or tree/bush lighting to decorate without climbing a ladder or touching the roof.
* If you do hang lights on the house:
• Use plastic clips for gutters or shingles never nails or staples
• Magnetic clips work great on metal roofing
• Always have a helper when using a ladder
• Take lights down gently to avoid pulling on gutters

** 🚨Choose the right lighting:
LEDs are safer, cooler, and more efficient. Options like icicle lights, raindrop lights, large bulbs, mini lights, and even smart lights let you customize your holiday look without causing damage.
