1. If it’s safe and there are no signs of damage, check whether a breaker has tripped.
2. Report the outage to Orange & Rockland.
3. Unplug sensitive electronics and leave one lamp on so you’ll know when power returns.
4. Stay well away from downed lines and report them to the utility.

Can you charge an EV from a regular outlet? Yes, but expect only a few miles of range per hour, and the outlet and wiring need to be in good shape.
