Maggert Lawn Care, Formally Vandiver Lawn Care, was taken over in June of 2013 from Mason and Kelly Vandiver who pursued other dreams and endeavors of their own. They now operate Higginsville Feed and Lawn in Higginsville, MO. (Formally STG Rental) Maggert Lawn Care specializes in mowing and trimming, but offers shrub trimming, leaf clean-up, w**d control, lawn seeding, light tree trimming, snow r

I have mowed for Vandiver Lawn Care for two years mowing and trimming about every type of yard imaginable. Before that, as a high school and college student, I mowed with my brother; most of the yard's which I have taken back over from VLC. I work full time as a Firefighter/EMT and luckily have a schedule that makes me available 3-4 days a week to own and operate my own lawn service.

We recently had the opportunity to finish up a project for a company we've worked closely with for several years.

Their crews had already moved on to the next area, but part of the project still needed to be completed before the new store could open. We shifted some things around in our schedule so we could jump in, help finish the remaining work, and take care of a few items that needed some attention.

We always appreciate the relationships we've built over the years and are glad we could help get this project across the finish line.

This customer came to us frustrated because they just couldn’t get grass to grow in their backyard and were ready for an immediate solution.

So, we gave them one!

We started by doing the final grading and soil prep to make sure the area was ready, then installed fresh sod to give them an instant, lush green lawn.

To help it get established, we also set up our custom temporary sprinkler system to keep everything watered and off to a great start.

The transformation was immediate, and the backyard went from a problem area to a space the family can enjoy right away. Thanks for trusting us with your project!

We wrapped up this project a few weeks ago, and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out!

The homeowners did a great job remodeling this beautiful home and wanted a lawn to match. We came in, did the final grading and soil prep, seeded everything, installed straw blankets to help hold moisture and protect the seed, and set up our temporary sprinkler system to keep it watered while it got established.

The lawn has filled in great and completely changed the look of the property!

We also added a small retaining wall in an area that would have been a pain to mow and trim. It cleaned the area up nicely and should make maintenance a lot easier going forward.

We appreciate the homeowners being patient with us throughout the process. Between the weather and busy schedules, some projects take a little longer than planned, but we're proud of the finished product and thankful they trusted us with it!

Please bear with us this Memorial Day weekend!

We’re working hard to get everyone taken care of in a timely manner so your lawns are looking great for the holiday weekend — while still trying to enjoy a little time with our own families as well.

We strive to provide the best service possible at every property, but with 3 out of the last 5 days bringing rain, we’re trying to squeeze nearly a full week of work into just a couple days.

Sometimes that means mistakes happen. If we miss something or do something a little goofy while rushing to stay caught up, we sincerely apologize and promise we’ll make it right on the following mow.

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience, support, and understanding as we work through the weather delays.

Started the year off by putting down a fresh 1” mulch refresh for one of our commercial clients! (We are a little behind on posting!)

While we may prefer rock around here, there’s no denying that a clean layer of fresh mulch really makes a property pop and gives it that finished look.

It’s definitely been a challenge getting all these yards sprayed this year with the constant wind and rain!

That being said, we’re excited to announce the addition of another spray and fertilizer machine to the fleet! This will allow us to add another spray tech this fall and help us get to all of our properties in a more timely manner.
