This door was getting hammered by wind and rain, allowing water to blow in and work its way under the door.

We’re getting started on building a new porch roof to protect the entry and keep everything dry. Small addition, but it makes a big difference in protecting the home from the weather.

I’ll post updates as it comes together. 🔨🏠

Installed this red oak flooring and have it mostly sanded down. We should be wrapping up the final sanding, staining, sealing, and finishing early next week. Looking forward to seeing the final color come out.

Finished the soffit and roofing on this project that had to have the roofing, sheathing removed. Then the insulation cleaned off the drywall from the top, framing shored up with missing and cracked members replaced. Spray foamed by Ross Harrington and sheathed ice and water and underlayment and roofing and soffit installed.

Shop building we helped do some work on to get it dried in and insulated with sheetrock on the upstairs walls.

This property had a significant bat infestation that required extensive remediation. We removed the existing roofing, roof decking, and fiberglass insulation. The roof was then spray-foamed from above, re-decked, and finished with new roofing. We also installed new soffit and ventilation, completed necessary framing repairs, and replaced the fascia.
It was a rewarding project, and the steep pitch added just enough challenge to keep things interesting.
