This week, the Smoot Team was proud to be a sponsor of the Columbus Metropolitan Club for their Annual Blue Chip Economic forum, featuring some of the country's most vital voices on the state of 2025's economic outlook. These sessions are refreshing and realistic looks into what our city requires of us as a business, but also as community members who contribute to Columbus' future.

Last week, members of our executive team attended The New Albany Community Foundation's "Remarkable Evening", an annual benefit that helps fund the Foundation’s grant making, community projects and programming. Specifically, it's focus is in four strategic areas of impact, including lifelong learning, arts and culture, health and wellness and a sustainable environment.

The speaker for this year's benefit was the one and only football legend, Peyton Manning! His impactful conversation with Clark Kellogg, CBS Reporter and Sports Analyst, was an inspiring and engaging event and one our team was proud to support. Being involved in local communities and having an impactful presence are among the top priorities for Smoot Construction.

Last week, members of our team had the incredible opportunity to give back to our community by volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House. Together, we prepared and served a hearty breakfast for several families, offering a little comfort and care.

Smoot Construction believes in the power of community and the importance of showing up for those in need. Supporting the families at the Ronald McDonald House is just one way we strive to make a positive impact beyond the workplace.

Today, we pause to honor and thank the veterans among us—both those who work with us here at Smoot Construction and all veterans whose paths we may never cross. Veterans Day is a time to reflect on the immense sacrifices made by the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces. Their commitment, courage, and selflessness embody the highest ideals of service, and we are profoundly grateful.

We extend a special appreciation to our colleagues at Smoot who have served. Your dedication to our nation and our company inspires us every day. The skills, resilience, and teamwork you've brought from your military experience make Smoot stronger, and we are privileged to work alongside you.
