You never quite know what you’ll find when you start working on an older slate roof.

What looked like a straightforward repair turned into a larger project once we got into it. We found damaged decking that needed to be replaced before the roof could be properly repaired with new slate.

That’s one of the things about roofing—sometimes you don’t know the full story until you get underneath it.

The Hamiltons have a beautiful, secluded home in Grey Rock subdivision, and their new roof gave the house a great new look.

They chose GAF Timberline shingles in Weathered Wood to replace an older, tired-looking roof. The new color fits the home and its surroundings really well, giving it a fresh, updated appearance while keeping the natural look they wanted.

Another roof finished and another home looking better than before we started.

Morning views like this are one of the perks of the job.

We've been fortunate to work on several rural properties recently, and every now and then the timing is just right. I managed to capture the sun rising over a boathouse while we were installing a new metal roof.

Every project has its own unique view—and sometimes they're pretty special.

The owner of this house sent me this picture. I guess this is a strong compliment. Someone appears to suggest a roof that I installed is their work. This is the first for me.

New Roof Alert!
We first removed the existing drip edge so the fascia could be completely painted by others.
New colored drip edge was installed to blend with the new roof color.
Copper chimney flashing was installed for long term durability.

Are you ready for a roof makeover?
