Started applying "VCT" today. I was able to mount the sprayer tank on the back of the zero-turn after a few modifications. I also modified the hitch to be able to accept attachments a bit easier. The system worked ok except you have to pay attention to a heavy back end. I did a few wheelies before I got used to the weight. I also had to back up in to the trailer to keep from tipping backwards. Then kept my back up hills.

Aeration Filling with water Almost full... "New" bigger pump "Old" smaller pump. Holes in top of pump pipe. Pump pipe for extraction. Extraction. Plug to break siphon. Holes to break vacuum. VCT sprayer! Making Vermi-Compost "Tea" today. It is made by inserting a breathable bag of Vermi-Compost in to a container of water for 16 hrs or so. We processed vermi-compost today. I had to add a brush to trommel in order to clean it off while it runs.

It is the that time of year again to start growing plants for the garden, so had to start making some potting soil. I use a mix of peat moss (even though I prefer coconut coir...) perlite, vermiculite and VC. I match the quantity of peat moss, perlite and vermiculite then add 10-15 percent VC. All this is watered down and mixed up then stored in RM totes.

We ran out of ghee so, thank goodness, kroger had butter in sale. Before anyone blames me for buying all of it, in my defense, there was a huge pile when I bought it. Not my fault that there was none left the next day... Anyway, I take all the butter out of package and put in stock pot (stainless steel) and cook on very low heat 6 hrs or so. [ 91 more words ]

Just got some new climbing equipment so just had to try it out. I got 13mm samson blue streak rope and a leather rope saver. The rope saver is great and way better than the rubber hose that I have been using. The hose is pretty worn out at this point anyway, but the leather reduces friction quite a bit more. This sucker was pretty killer. 8 inches thick and rebar horizontally and vertically. Finally ended up cutting it in chunks with a 12in cement saw then hammering a wedge to break pieces off of rebar. At least the floor came up relatively easy with a sds hammer (love that thing!).

After having lunch with a family that served several varieties of frozen hawian pizza I was encouraged to make the ultimate one. This thing was loaded with bacon, ham, Canadian bacon, pulled pork, mozzarella, asiago, parmesan and of course pineapple... The crust was made from scratch, but I cheated and bought frozen cheesy garlic bread.
