I spent every day up until December 21st working hard on my business and thought I’d get a short break over the holidays, but unfortunately had a loss in the family and just need some time to rest, grieve, and reset.
This isn’t goodbye — just a pause. Thank you for always supporting me and giving me the grace to be human. I’ll be back soon with a full heart and fresh creativity ✨

1. You’ll work harder than any job you’ve ever had—and still doubt yourself.
There’s no clocking out. No guaranteed paycheck. Just you, your vision, and a lot of late nights wondering if you’re doing enough.

2. Your friends won’t always support you… but strangers will.
The people you expect to cheer the loudest sometimes stay quiet—while total strangers become your biggest customers and advocates.

3. You’ll spend more time marketing than actually making.
Creating is the fun part. That takes up maybe 20% of your time. Posting, filming, editing, inventory, finances, emailing, and showing up consistently? That’s the other 80%. That’s the real full-time job.

4. You’ll question your prices and still undercharge.
You’ll forget to factor in your time, your skill, your growth, and your worth—until you learn (usually the hard way) to stand on your pricing. Just because you didn’t do amazing one weekend at a show or one month online, doesn’t mean you should lower your prices.

5. You’ll want to quit right before things start to work
That “this isn’t going anywhere” moment? It usually shows up right before momentum does. Growth is quiet before it’s loud.

6. Photography becomes your part-time job
Lighting, angles, backgrounds, retakes… suddenly you’re a maker and a content creator.

But seeing someone buy something you made?
That feeling never gets old. Ever. 🥹✨

1. Excuses.
If I want growth, I have to move like someone who expects it. Not waiting for the “perfect” time, the perfect launch, or perfect confidence. Progress beats perfection every single time.

2. Toxic friends & family.
Distance isn’t disrespect. Protecting my energy, my creativity, and my peace is part of being serious about my goals. ESPECIALLY protecting my children. Not everyone gets front-row access to my life — and that’s okay. And don’t forget- blood doesn’t make family.

3. Non-existent store policies.
Boundaries aren’t only needed in your personal life, but your professional life too, and no it’s not rude. Clear policies protect me and my customers, and they allow my business to grow sustainably instead of emotionally. Ask me about my nightmare customer a few weeks ago 😵‍💫

4. Imposter syndrome.
I’m done questioning whether I “deserve” success. I show up, I learn, I create, I sell — that makes me a real business owner. Confidence is built by doing, not waiting.

5. Anything getting in the way of my goals.
That includes self-doubt, people-pleasing, burnout cycles, and playing small to make others comfortable. I’m choosing alignment over approval.

Also, My husband isn’t one of them 😉 if anything, he helps me reach my goals and doesn’t let me slack off ❤️
