Here are four quick things you can do right now to prevent a breakdown.
1️⃣ spray off your outdoor unit. Debris, grass clippings, and cottonwood floating around this time of year can clog it up and choke off airflow. Grab your garden hose and rinse it down.
2️⃣ clear your condensate line. Even though it's summer, your evaporator coil is still pulling water out of the air. Pour a cup of vinegar down the line to break up any blockage before it backs up.
