Twenty-five years ago, our nation was forever changed.
On that day, Americans stood together in a way few generations have ever witnessed. We saw strangers become neighbors, communities come together, and a nation set aside its differences to care for one another. First responders ran toward danger. Americans lined up to give blood, open their homes, lend a hand, and simply be there for one another.
Twenty-five years later, we still remember the lives that were lost, the heroes who served, and the countless acts of courage and compassion that emerged from one of our nation’s darkest days.
And we still believe what so many Americans believed then: that in our darkest moments, God is our refuge, and that even in the face of tragedy, we can choose to stand together and be a light to one another.
