South Charleston Fire Station has received at ABC Ohio Valley Chapter Eagle Award of Excellence in the Special Projects category.

This project was built to support the people who serve and protect the Springfield community every day. From the beginning, the work required quick decision-making, adaptability, and strong coordination across the entire team. Early in construction, the team stepped in to self-perform several critical scopes to help maintain quality, sequencing, and schedule continuity. Through strong field leadership, proactive coordination with local officials and utilities, and close collaboration across the project team, the work was completed safely.

Projects like this require adaptability, accountability, and people willing to step in when it matters most. We’re grateful to Springfield Fire Rescue Division, the City of Springfield, Ohio - Government, App Architecture, our trade partners, and every team member who helped bring this project to life.

Frann’s Fieldhouse has received an ABC Ohio Valley Chapter Eagle Award of Excellence in the Pre-Engineered Metal Building category.

Built through our long-standing partnership with Heidelberg University, this project was about more than constructing a new facility. It was about creating a space that will serve students, athletes, faculty, and the broader community for years to come.

Constructing in the middle of an active campus required constant communication, coordination, and respect for the people the project impacted every day. Thanks to strong collaboration between Heidelberg University, Design Collaborative, our trade partners, and the Marker team, the project was delivered safely, on schedule, and under budget.

Global Impact STEM Academy Upper Academy has received an ABC Ohio Valley Chapter Eagle Award of Excellence in the Institutional category.

This project brought together a lot of moving pieces centered around creating a space designed to support future generations of students. Through strong collaboration between Global Impact STEM Academy, Clark State College, our design and trade partners, and the Marker team, the project was completed three months ahead of schedule and under budget while maintaining the full vision for the facility.

We’re grateful for the people behind this project and proud of the teamwork, trust, and accountability that made this recognition possible. Special thanks to WSA Studio and everyone who contributed throughout the project and award submission process!

305 Prosperity Parkway has been recognized with an ABC Ohio Valley Chapter Eagle Award of Excellence in the Industrial category! 🦅

Behind every award is a team of people willing to solve problems, adapt quickly, and keep moving the work forward together. This project was delivered without a committed tenant in place, which meant decisions had to be made proactively while still meeting schedule, safety, and performance expectations.

Because of the collaboration between Marker, Marker Development, our trade partners, and the project team, the facility was delivered successfully and later secured a national tenant shortly after completion.

We’re proud of the people behind this project and grateful for the trust, accountability, and teamwork that made it possible.

Big night for our teams at the ABC Ohio Valley Chapter Excellence in Construction Awards! 🦅🏆

All four projects we submitted received Eagle Awards of Excellence, the highest honor in the program. We were also honored with a Community Service + Outreach Award, and Sarah Cordell and Gatlin Ridgwell were recognized as Woman of the Year nominees!

Every project came with its own challenges, but the common thread was the people behind the work, teams who showed up for each other, stayed accountable, and kept pushing to get it done the right way. We’re grateful to our associates, project partners, trade contractors, clients, and community partners who played a role in these projects and the impact they represent.

Heidelberg University’s Frann’s Fieldhouse has been awarded Second Place in the 2026 American Buildings Excellence in Design Awards—a recognition that highlights the creativity, craftsmanship, and performance behind this incredible facility.

Projects like this don’t happen without a dedicated team and strong partnerships. We’re proud to have worked alongside great people to deliver a space that serves the Heidelberg community now and into the future.

Construction is built on strength. But strength doesn’t mean carrying everything on your own.

In our industry, long hours, physical demands, and the pressure to keep pushing forward can take a toll that isn’t always visible. And too often, those struggles go unspoken.

is a reminder that looking out for each other matters just as much as the work itself.

A conversation. A check-in. Taking the time to listen. These small moments can make a real difference.

Doing it with heart means creating a culture where people feel supported, where it’s okay to speak up, and where no one feels like they have to handle things alone. If you’re struggling, or if someone on your crew might be, reach out. You don’t have to have all the answers, just showing up matters.

There’s something exciting about this stage of a project, when progress really starts to take shape.

At Global Impact STEM Academy Upper Academy Phase II, steel is going vertical, foundation walls are complete, and backfilling is underway along the north elevation. Below the surface, interior piers and underground plumbing continue to come together, each piece playing a role in what’s ahead.

But this project is about more than what you see today. Once complete, this facility will support hands-on STEM learning, strengthen connections between high school and college, and create new opportunities for students preparing for the workforce. It’s a space designed to make a lasting impact for Clark State College and the community it serves.

Proud of the progress our team and partners are making, and looking forward to what’s next as this building continues to rise! 🙌
