Why I'm Starting 614 Property Buyer
I've spent 30 years serving Columbus, and I've learned one simple truth:
It's not about the tool in your hand—it's about the person you're helping.
In 1999, I started my first business because I wanted ownership over my future. By 2002, I was running Magic Carpet. In 2015, I launched Magic Restoration to rebuild homes after water and fire damage.
Over time, Magic Restoration became the contractor investors trusted to turn distressed properties into safe, livable homes. I saw this industry from the inside—investors who never once walked the properties they bought, homeowners who felt like a line item instead of a neighbor.
In 2020, I decided it was time to invest in my own neighborhood—the Hilltop—where I was born and raised. As someone committed to rebuilding this community with pride, not chasing a margin.
That's why I created 614 Property Buyer.
614 finds the homes. Magic Restoration rebuilds them. Together, we create real homes for real people.
I'm not an out-of-town investor. I'm a Westside neighbor bringing decades of service and hands-on restoration experience to local housing.
Here's something I didn't plan: the name 614 came first—it's Columbus, it's home. Later, I asked what the Bible says about restoration, and Isaiah 61:4 was the first verse that came up. Same number. That's when this stopped feeling like a coincidence and started feeling like a calling.
