Gratitude is one of our values (Integrity, Excellence, and Leadership being the others). We received the below message from a tradesperson. We work hard to set an example and hold each other accountable. When you have a day where everyone has the right attitude and it all comes together, it is so rewarding — even energizing!
“Days like today are why I love working for IGEL. Had an amazing day… just wanted to let someone know.
The nature of construction requires workers to trust their colleagues with their safety. Projects often involve complex coordination, where one person's work depends directly on another's, fostering a ‘we’ rather than ‘I’ mentality. There is also a deep, shared pride in building something physical and permanent, which strengthens the bond between team members.
Today embodied that. Everyone jumped in. Your team embodies every bit of what it means to be a family/team.
At times, we spend more time with IGEL than we do with our own families, but to be a part of all of this is truly amazing.
I wanted to thank you for allowing me to be a part of your crew.
You see, I’ve worked on all sides of it here at IGEL — concrete, paving, curb, Bidwell, dirt, and even in the shop. Yet one thing remains the same all around:
