Creative Studio Architects recently hosted a cohort of high school students from the Columbus School for Girls for an immersive educational experience focused on the architectural profession.

The visit provided the students with a comprehensive overview of the path to becoming a licensed architect, including academic expectations, internship requirements, and the Architectural Registration Examination (ARE) process. Our team demonstrated how conceptual designs evolve from large-scale site planning and master layouts into highly precise, technical construction documents.

Following a lunch break, the students transitioned from the studio to the field. Equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment, the group visited the Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD) campus for a guided tour of an active construction site: The Center for Creative Collaboration.

This site visit offered a practical look at a building in its late rough-in phase. With the drywall hung, taped, and finished, the students could clearly visualize the spatial layout and interior architecture prior to the installation of final finishes, millwork, and furnishings.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our partners at CCAD and Elford Construction for providing these aspiring designers with valuable firsthand exposure to the construction phase of a major institutional project.

Creative Studio Architects partnered with and to facilitate an architecture studio session at for local 9th-12th graders! 📐✨

The high school students chose unique educational themes for their own pavilions, mapping out concepts through hand-drawn bubble diagrams and floor plans while mastering scale and vertical circulation. They wrapped up by creating beautiful building elevations and 3D perspectives to showcase their material and daylighting ideas.

We finished the day with a group pin-up session where volunteers presented their final designs. The sheer creativity and energy in the room was inspiring! 🏗️✍️

We are excited to unveil our design for the new Lulu's restaurant at Indian Lake in Russell's Point, Ohio! 🌊🍽️

The new Lulu's will feature lakeside views with expansive indoor and outdoor seating. We've also incorporated a versatile future second-floor space, thoughtfully designed to adapt for either private office use or as a large community event venue.

This restaurant is just one exciting piece of a much larger Indian Lake Boardwalk vision that will bring a vibrant public green space, playgrounds, and fantastic amenities to the Russell's Point community.

This project, as well as the boardwalk development, is anticipated to break ground this summer. We can't wait to see this project come to life and serve as a gathering place for the community. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to construction! 🏗️✨
