Meet Taylor McCarthy, Operations Coordinator at 3C.

Taylor joined 3C while looking for a change in industry but wanting to continue her career in administrative work. After meeting our recruiter, Ann, and our VP, Chris, she knew 3C was a company she wanted to be part of for the long term. She's enjoyed watching the company grow and believes the people are what make 3C such a great place to work.

As an Operations Coordinator, Taylor is passionate about bringing organization and structure to fast-moving projects and supporting both the office and field teams. She enjoys learning the construction industry while using her attention to detail and creative mindset to help keep operations running smoothly.

Outside of work, Taylor spends her weekends working at a local waffle and coffee food truck, runs a styling Instagram focused on fashion and thrifting, and volunteers at her local library. One of her favorite events is Paws to Read, where children practice reading aloud with service dogs.

It's Month! 🏗️ We had a blast at the Ohio State career fair meeting future builders and even got a visit from Brutus himself!

Our team spent the day talking with students about what a career in commercial construction can look like, from project management and field operations to safety and preconstruction. Thank you to Ohio State for hosting, and to every student who stopped by. If we met you, we'd love to stay in touch. Explore internships and open roles on our website.

It's 2:40pm on a Thursday. The last purlin's almost set, and the bolt you need is just past the rail. You'd have to unclip to reach it, but it'll only take a second.

That second is exactly why the rule exists. On the deck, six feet is the trigger. In the basket, there's no trigger. At 3C, if you're in the lift, you're tied off. Every time.

The bolt can wait, go home tonight.

Meet Luis Manaure, Carpenter at 3C.

Luis joined 3C after a recommendation from our own Jesus Rojas, and he's been proud to be part of the team ever since. What started as a simple connection turned into an opportunity that has allowed him to grow both professionally and personally.

As a Carpenter, Luis enjoys that every project is different. He loves learning new skills, taking on new challenges, and finding ways to continue improving his craft. He takes pride in delivering quality work and giving his best on every job site.

One of the things Luis values most about 3C is the stability it has provided for his family and the sense of belonging he's found within the team.

Outside of work, Luis enjoys traveling with his family and exploring new places. He's also a big fan of race cars and classic cars. One of his favorite experiences was working on the Expo project, where he had the chance to see classic car exhibits up close.

It doesn't take heavy machinery to crush a hand.

A door swinging shut. A come-along under load. A piece of formwork closing on itself. Caught-in/between hazards don't announce themselves, and they hide inside the routine tasks we do every day, not just the "big" mechanical work.

A few reminders before you start:
DO
- Call out pinch points before the task begins. Name them on the Pre-Task Plan.
- Verify zero energy before reaching into any equipment with a pinch point. Follow LOTO, every time.
- Use the right tool: a push stick, pry bar, or hook instead of your fingers.

DON'T
- Don't reach into a moving or energized assembly "just to guide it."
- Don't wrap rope, cable, or tag lines around your hand or wrist during a pull.
- Don't stand between equipment and a fixed object while it's capable of moving.

Take the extra ten seconds for your safety.
