Since opening as Kettering High School in 1929, the Barnes building has held a place in City of Kettering, Ohio - Government's history. Now, it’s being prepared for its next chapter as a COhatch space and administrative offices for Kettering City Schools.

We recently welcomed construction juniors and seniors from Kettering Fairmont High School for a hard hat tour with Jim Aiello, our Director of Preconstruction. For students learning the trade, it was a chance to see firsthand how a building with decades of history can be repurposed for the future, while the skills and craftsmanship behind the renovation help carry that history forward.

We appreciate the opportunity to give these students a firsthand look at the renovation process and share a little of what goes into preparing a historic building for its next chapter.
