Forestry Plus can also help you to construct access roads and bridges. Bridge parts and railroad cars are used to create these wooden and steel bridges. Equipment is leased out by the owner, Marty Wallace, and bridges are built by him personally or others are hired to help.

Silviculture burn
These are controlled fires that burn dead grass, fallen tree branches, dead trees, and thick undergrowth. Controlled burns help prevent future destructive wildfires, reduce insect population, and eliminate many invasive plants. The ashes then return those nutrients to the soil, which could have taken years to decompose naturally. Small trees are then able to obtain more sunlight and space to grow and in return hastens the growth of young timber.

This is to ensure that the trees are healthy and survival rate is high.

Meet the owner:
My name is Marty Wallace and I am the owner of Forest Plus. I have been doing forestry work since 1988 and I opened Forestry Plus in 1998. I have lived in Mississippi my whole life and graduated from Mississippi State University with a forestry degree. I have done forestry work from MS to Texas.
