🎪 Step right up...
Our "Greatest Roofs" booth brought so much excitement to this year's conference, but the real highlight was the opportunity to connect with school leaders, facility professionals, and industry partners from across Arizona.

From sharing best practices and discussing roofing solutions to handing popcorn, tee shirts and fidgets along the way, we enjoyed every conversation and every new connection.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth or attended the Center Stage: Roof Maintenance presentation. We appreciate the opportunity to be part of such an incredible event and look forward to continuing the conversations long after the conference ends.

🚧✨ Women in Construction Week Spotlight ✨🚧
With nearly three years at Progressive Roofing, Sarah Peterson has quickly grown into a leadership role that supports project teams across the company. She is part of the Operations team at the Phoenix Branch Support Center, where her work helps strengthen project oversight, training, and collaboration between teams.

Sarah manages the Project Overwatch Team, leading weekly job cost meetings with Project Managers across nearly all Progressive Roofing branches. These meetings allow teams to dive into project details, review progress, and ensure projects stay on track. In addition, Sarah is actively involved in Project Manager and Superintendent training at the Westgate office, and often travels to other branches to provide in-person training and support.

What inspires her most about being a woman in construction?
“I very much enjoy breaking the mold — women in construction have so many more opportunities beyond administrative!”
One of Sarah’s proudest career moments has been seeing others grow in their roles. Watching team members Michelle and Jeanne develop their skills in job cost management and confidently engage with Project Managers has been especially rewarding.

Rosario found her way to the construction industry because of its fast pace and the opportunity to make a real impact. She enjoys being part of an industry that builds something tangible while supporting the people who make those projects happen every day. At Progressive Roofing, Rosario plays an important role behind the scenes ensuring our teams are supported and set up for success.

In her role, Rosario’s daily hustle focuses on processing payroll, solving problems, improving processes, and supporting her team. Most importantly, she works to ensure employees across the company are paid accurately and on time, helping provide stability for the people and families who rely on that consistency.

What inspires her most about being a woman in construction?
“I’m inspired by helping break barriers and showing that women can lead and grow in any industry. It’s rewarding to be part of that progress.”
Rosario is motivated by leaders who support their teams and lead with integrity. Their example pushes her to continue learning, improving, and growing in her career.
On the hard days, Rosario stays focused on the bigger picture. Knowing that her work impacts employees and their families keeps her driven to do her best and ensure people are taken care of.

🚧✨ Women in Construction Week Spotlight ✨🚧
For nearly three decades, Tonya Kartak has built a career rooted in experience, determination, and a willingness to take on challenges in the construction industry. With 29 years in construction and 10 years at Progressive Roofing, Tonya’s journey began early. Growing up around her dad and uncles’ general contracting company, she spent time visiting job sites and learning the industry from the ground up. At 18, she started her career with a stucco company and continued working across multiple construction companies before eventually joining Progressive Roofing. Today, Tonya serves as a Project Manager supporting the TSMC projects while also traveling nationally to train and support Project Managers across Progressive branches.

What inspires her most about being a woman in construction?
“I like a challenge. I have overcome so many barriers in this industry and I feel very accomplished in doing so.”
Tonya credits much of her inspiration to her mom, who overcame many challenges while raising children at a young age and eventually earned her college degree. Today, she works as a Project Manager for a large tech company and continues to be one of Tonya’s biggest supporters.

On the hard days, Tonya stays grounded by remembering how far she has come and focusing on the bigger picture of why she enjoys the work she does. Her daily mindset is simple and powerful: “Be intentional each and every day.”

With nearly six years in the construction industry, Megan has built her career in Human Resources by embracing challenge and growth from day one. She was drawn to construction for the fast-paced environment and the opportunity to challenge herself in a new way. She continues to thrive in an industry where every day brings new opportunities and tangible results. In HR, Megan’s daily hustle is centered on supporting people, strengthening teams, and helping create an environment where employees can grow and succeed.

What inspires her most about being a woman in construction?
“It’s challenging and rewarding at the same time. There are so many opportunities for us, and we get to see tangible results.” She credits much of her development to her boss, Melissa Camp, whom she describes as “a powerhouse and a force to be reckoned with.” Having a leader who challenges her and pushes her to be her best has made a lasting impact. On the tough days, it’s her team that keeps her motivated. “I have a great team that really makes the bad days worth it. I couldn’t do it without them.”

This week, we celebrate women like Megan who are building strong teams and shaping the future of construction.
