Today we're starting a little different type of siding project.
This is a metal garage, and we're replacing the existing metal siding around the building.
Unlike a typical house, there's no plywood or house wrap behind these panels. Once the metal comes off, the insulation is directly behind it.
So we'll remove the existing panels carefully, protect the insulation, and install the new metal siding to give this building a completely new exterior.
We'll show you the transformation once it's finished.

The shingles are off — now we can see what the roof really needs. 🔨🏠

With the old roofing completely removed, our crew inspected the plywood deck before moving forward with the new roofing system.

We found several areas that needed attention, including plywood around the chimney and along the front eaves of the home.

Those damaged sections have now been removed and will be replaced before the new roofing system goes on.

This is an important part of a proper roof replacement: inspect first, replace what's necessary, and make sure the new roof is being installed over a solid foundation.

The parts you won't see when we're finished matter just as much as the shingles you will.

Sometimes replacing a roof means correcting what's underneath it first.

On this project, the siding ran directly underneath the existing drip edge at the rake.

Rather than simply installing the new roof the same way, we're adding a 2×4 rake board so we can properly terminate the roofing system and install the new drip edge.

It's a detail most homeowners will never see once the project is complete—but those are exactly the details that matter.

We don't just replace what was there. We look at how it should be built.

You can't always judge a roof by what you see from the ground.

Once we removed the old roofing, we uncovered extensive damaged roof decking that needed to be replaced before installing the new roof.

This is why we never recommend covering problems. A quality roof starts with a solid structure underneath.
