Happy 4-year workiversary to Fedora!

Fedora is a structural engineer on our team, and clients trust her for clear answers and careful work. She takes the time to explain the engineering in plain terms, so everyone at the table can make a confident decision.

She's a University of South Carolina civil engineering grad. When she's not at her desk, she's hiking, dancing, listening to an audiobook or putting together a jigsaw puzzle. Fitting the pieces together is kind of her thing.

Two stories. Suspended.

Some features look effortless only because the structure behind them was not.

This 11,075 sq. ft. custom home in Irmo, near Lake Murray, pushed past conventional practice in more than one place. Walls over 20 feet tall in the foyer and great room. A 66-foot continuous vault running from the front entry to the rear wrap-around deck. Large rooms with long spans. And a fireplace that hangs two full stories.

Massey is providing top-down structural engineering, working alongside Birch Home Builders and designer Black Barn Home. Construction is underway.
