Last week, SOA Architecture was proud to attend the Blessing and Ribbon Cutting for Fr. Tolton Regional Catholic High School’s new Outdoor Athletics & Activities Complex! Phase 1 is complete with the football field and track, with Phase 2 bringing the diamond complex for baseball and softball.

We’re excited to see the vision come to life and to support the Blazers! Special shoutout to Crockett Engineering Consultants, Klingner & Associates, P.C., SilverTree Companies & Little Dixie Construction!

We're proud to celebrate two outstanding team members whose dedication and talent have helped shape SOA's success.

Jody Miller marks an incredible 25 years with SOA Architecture. Since joining the firm in 2001 after graduating from Drury University, Jody has been an integral part of our architectural team, contributing her expertise to countless healthcare, higher education, corporate, and community projects. Her thoughtful approach to planning and design, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on our clients, our projects, and our team.

We're also celebrating Julie Whitsitt on her 10-year anniversary with SOA Architecture. As an interior designer, Julie brings creativity, technical expertise, and a passion for creating functional, beautiful spaces. Her experience across commercial, education, healthcare, government, and non-profit projects has enhanced countless designs, ensuring interiors are as purposeful as they are inviting.

Steve’s Pest Control’s new Sedalia office is complete! We are so grateful and humbled by how it turned out. It is truly an honor to earn the respect and trust of the community we serve.

We recently had the opportunity to host two student shadows, a high school student exploring future career possibilities and an architecture student eager to see how classroom concepts translate into real-world projects. It was a rewarding experience and a great reminder of the importance of sharing our industry with the next generation.

The day included a jobsite visit and Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meeting, where they were able to see firsthand how collaboration, communication, and problem-solving happen throughout a project. Along the way, we discussed the design and construction process, career paths within the industry, and the many different roles and specialties that contribute to a successful project.

It was exciting to answer questions, share experiences, and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the diverse opportunities within our firm and the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. Looking forward to seeing where their interests and careers take them!

Last month, Heart of Missouri CASA celebrated breaking ground on their new headquarters. The celebration was about so much more than what’s being built.

It’s about the children who will be supported here, the lives that will be changed, and the community that made it all possible. This vision has been years in the making, and it exists because people chose to care, to show up, and to believe in something better.

What rises here will be a place of healing, hope, and belonging. But the real impact comes from people like you.

Be part of what comes next. Whether you give, volunteer, or simply help spread the word, you are helping create something that truly matters.
