It’s official! The first-ever lift-served mountain bike park in Northwest Arkansas is open.

We were proud to partner with OZ Trails to help bring this one-of-a-kind attraction to life and create a new experience for riders across the region.

From steep terrain to complex construction challenges, our crew put in the work to make it happen.

We're taking time during to remind our employee-owners of the importance of making sure every trench is safe before entering.

There are three simple ways to help prevent cave-ins:
✔️ SLOPE or bench trench walls
✔️ SHORE trench walls with supports
✔️ SHIELD trench walls with trench boxes

No task is worth taking a shortcut. These precautions help ensure every employee-owner goes home safe at the end of the day.

Moving massive amounts of rock and racing against the clock. 🪨⏱️

That's what our crews are up against at the JRPS Battery Yard as they prepare the site for a new energy storage facility and substation in Springfield, MO.

Six days a week, employee-owners are out there working through 50,000 CY of earth work, more than 2,000 CY of structural concrete, and underground utilities to get it to the next phase of construction.

Big shoutout to the crews out there putting in the work and getting it done. 👏

The future of the industry has officially arrived at ESS!

Last week, we brought our 2026 intern class together to kick off their summer at ESS. They spent the day learning about the company, meeting fellow interns, and getting a glimpse of what's ahead.

From the field to the office, they'll be getting a hands-on experience across the company all summer long.

Stay tuned for an inside look at the ESS Internship Program.

Have you ever rock blasted next to irreplaceable pieces of art? Yeah, neither had we until we were selected to do the site prep for Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art expansion.

From using explosives near priceless artwork and maneuvering public spaces to working in an active creek, this was anything but a typical job.

It took careful planning, precision ex*****on, and crews willing to tackle some of the toughest site conditions around. In typical ESS fashion, our employee-owners faced the challenges head on and delivered a best-in-class project safely and successfully. We couldn’t do it without our project partners Flintco, subcontractors, and the project owners.

See how our crews “moved mountains” to get it done. 👉 https://bit.ly/4v7mC40

Building the next generation of construction professionals one student at a time.

We partnered with Columbia Public Schools to bring students who are interested in construction careers to our Trade Summit. They got a firsthand look at what it takes to build the roads, bridges, and infrastructure our communities rely on through hands-on activities, an office tour, and conversations with our employee-owners.

It was a great week, and we’re already looking forward to doing it again next year. 🤩

The Garden City Asphalt Plant is officially up and running. 🚧

Our newest mobile asphalt plant is capable of producing up to 400 tons of asphalt per hour and will help supply dozens of projects throughout the area.

To celebrate the opening, we fired up the grill and provided lunch for the crews helping make it all happen. We sent them with food to bring out to the field as a small thank-you to the folks getting the work done every day. 🍔

This plant isn't just about producing asphalt. It's about increasing efficiency, reducing haul times, supporting our employee-owners, and delivering better results for our clients and the communities we serve.

XNA Northwest Arkansas National Airport is growing, and we're helping make room for what's next. ✈️

Our crews are reconstructing the existing apron and Taxiway H while expanding the concrete apron between Taxiways E and F to create additional aircraft parking and de-icing locations.

We're also installing our first glycol diversion structure, an underground system designed to capture and manage fluids used during the de-icing process.

25 feet of space, 61,000 daily travelers, and traffic flying by on both sides. 🚙💨

That's typical for the pipe crews out on the Improve I-70: Warrenton to Wentzville project.

“You’ve got to know how to get in and out of your work zone, manage traffic, and make sure deliveries are lined up before they even arrive,” says Pipe Superintendent, David Cook.

Rockin’ and Rollin’ out at Bennett Ridge. 🪨

Once crews got below the surface, they started running into massive amounts of rock – just one of the several challenges crews are tackling. They also crushed it while paving switchback streets with a 10% grade for their first big pave of the year. 💪

Now it’s down to the final touches with electrical conduits going in and grading getting wrapped up across the 118-lot subdivision.

Big shoutout to the crews out there getting after it every day. 👏
