This is what happens when I mix my artists side with my photographer side! I love seeing what I can come up with!

What happens when the ocean meets the cosmos? 🌌🪼

I photographed these jellyfish at the St. Louis Zoo and later decided to see what I could create with them.

I layered several of my jellyfish photographs together, then combined them with stars and a galaxy to create something that felt a little less like an aquarium and a little more like another world.

I've always enjoyed experimenting with photography—not every image has to be a literal representation of what was in front of the camera. Sometimes it's fun to take the pieces of something you've photographed and turn them into something entirely different.

And, ironically, seeing this photograph again always makes me think of the time I got stung by a jellyfish in 2021. Apparently, I didn't learn my lesson—I still think they're beautiful. 😂
